I'm looking for references , definitions, explanations, experiences of this entity. Is the Lurker on the Threshold just a term for ones internal resistance, the Jungian shadow, or is it something more, something darker?

What is the Lurker on the Threshold?

    Love and Will

I am more familiar with the "Guardian of the Threshold".
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guardian_of_the_Threshold
This has to do with being confronted with all your inner demons, what you fear the most, or your Jungian shadow, just before you make the leap towards enlightenment.
      I think.

        Thanks.

You are correct. My mistake, conflating another term, and probably accounts for my not being able to track down the reference. "Lurker on the Threshold" is a Lovecraft reference and not what I was interested in.

I am actually looking for references to Dweller on the Threshold. Some poking about suggests it is a theosophical concept, but I know Crowley makes reference to it in various places.

EDIT: there is also a whole thread on this under Magick that I just found. Sorry for starting a new thread that is dealt with elsewhere...

I'm not sure that it existed before I coined it as the forum's label for people registered who have never posted.
