Qabalah and I Ching
-
93,
In working on a study correlating the I Ching and the Qabalah/Tarot, I am inclined to link the two for my own personal use. Also, many correlations fit quite nicely for DNA attributions (some literature has been published on the study), as well as western music theory (some amazing correlations! No published information that I'm aware of yet), which I have begun to incorporate in a style akin to 777. All in all, I've been working with this so-called "unified" theory for awhile.
I was wondering if anybody else has worked on correlating attributions in this manner, or if anyone has more information on Crowley's attributions? In the Book of Thoth, he has scattered attributions, linking Court Cards and Small Cards to some hexagrams (including some Geomantic figure attributions as well). Does anyone know if he ever completed a work cross-referencing all the I Ching hexagrams to Qabalah/Tarot attributions?
Also, I'd love to hear if anybody have discovered any unique correlations, regarding these two systems, in their Work. I'm aware of Crowley's attributions to the Tree located in the Book of Thoth, but, unfortunately, I find it a little incomplete and haphazard. Or, as an apologist would say, his work may have suffered from the lack of information at the time.
In any event, has anybody worked with the I Ching and the Qabalah to the extent that they have noticed any interesting correlations? And, would they be willing to share them?
Thank you everyone for your time.

these are my thoughts from some years ago - connection of the A.'.A.'. Grades to the hexagrams 46 to 64
(just the rudiment outlines, perhaps more as an eventual subject for meditation, than anything else..)
.....................ascending up the Tree from Malkuth to Kether, following the A.'.A.'. Grades, shown with the I Ching hexagrams from the 46th to the 64th
10.
46. Sheng – a Tree grows from the ground (earth); BREAKING THROUGH UPWARDS = the Neophyte formula
---> 47. K’un – transition towards Yesod (the Path of Tau)
9.
48. Ching – the Well; continuous inner resource, Foundation of the being, THE UNCHANGABLE IN CHANGE = Zelator formula
---> 49. Ko – transition from 9 into 8 (the Path of Resh)
8.
50. Ting – the Cauldron; SACRIFICIAL UTENSIL, transformation = ( a 'hidden' part of the) Practicus formula
---> 51. Chen - transition from 8 into 7, Thunder –the Arousing (The path of Peh)
7.
**52. Ken **- Mountain, keeping still; the core issue is: Peace of the Heart = complete dedication to the one => Philosophus formula
---> 53. Chien - Development;
„The maiden is given in marriage and for this she must wait for the actions of the husband“ (the Path of Nun)6.
54. Kuei Mei - „The Marrying Maiden – end of the maidenhood; ...nothing that would further“;
„the begining and the end of the human race“
the Lake and Thunder united - 4 and 5 – the idea of Leo and the heart---> **55. Feng **- Abundance; transition from 5 to 4 gives a clear idea of moving from 6 to 5 = Lamed
5.
56. Lu - the Wanderer, passenger;
---> 57. Sun - Gentleness which is all-permeating/penetrating (the idea of Babalon and the Beast combined 5 and 4) = Teth
4.
58. Tui - the Joyous, Lake
---> 59. Huan - Dispersion, Dissolution...
„The king approaches his temple.“ --- THE LEAP, ABYSS3.
60. Chieh - Limitation; stopping
---> 61. Chung Fu - Inner Truth, „pigs and fish“ (dolphins?) = Daleth
2.
62. Hsiao Kuo - Preponderance of the Small (the idea is: „something that comes out of transgression from the middle“; „this hexagram deals with transitional states, exceptional states“; the idea of mutation)
**63. /64. --> ↑ ⁄ ↓ **= ALEPH
2 = 0

93,
Wow. Thanks for the posting. Just so you know, we have a correlation.

I've noted the same for ATU XI. When working with the attributions, I have included the related averse hexagram for the Paths, based on the 32 sephirot and paths to the 64 hexagram ratio, as the two aspects of the Path (Kether is in Malkuth, only after another "aspect") seem to work nicely. So, for the Path of Teth, I also include 58. the Joyous, which is a good compliment (although averse) to 57. for the Beast and Bride uniting! Approaching each Path with a "double-wanded" subject/object perspective (as each Trump can be viewed averse or upright in a reading), seems to work well for me.

I attribute this to Yesod. The symmetrical hexagrams fit nicely as the Sephirot (as above, so below) and tend correlate in eerie ways. In any event, your notes above seem to "reflect" the aspects of mind (Yesod), too.
I'll post some more of the attributions I've worked out...and I'd love some comments on the above.
Thanks again for your post. I really appreciate it!
