I am trying to research Low Magick, in particular candle magick, in the area of cleansing/clearing negativity, opening channels etc.(typical of a *waning * Moon period).

Assuming that one is already making full effort on the level of Assiyah, what types of Low Magick during a waning Moon are sometimes practiced by those on the path of Thelema?

This isn't usually the kind of question or practice that you would find someone undertaking who is "on the path of Thelema." You're more likely to find it among practicing Wiccans.

IMO the best info on candle magic is Raymond Bucklands books.

I used candle magic almost exclusively for a long time, I was fixated on fire for most of my preteen teen years.

The problem I always ran into was the fact that it seems like there is always some sort of loop hole, not forseen which enables your work to take a unplanned turn. It is almost as if low magic is giving away ones powers.

I did not like not being able to predict my outcomes and efforts. It seems to me that the magick I hear called High magic, assures predicable outcomes.

My personal take on this Low Magic monicker is that it is merely working with the earth, which is something always in motion. Or would you rather work with that which Governs that which manages those which enact these ordinances that create this every changing/moving earth? One is temporary, the other is eternal.

    Or something like that.

Either way, you can play with candles and fire doing both (if you like).
