I had some personal objectives related to work which I had set for myself. I never really thought I would achieve them (not that it's truly impossible, just fairly unlikely). They related to performance, doing well in several tasks - almost like high school grades. Well anyway, I kept visualizing them, tried to change my beliefs into "I actually can do this," and all that jazz. And it worked! đŸ˜”

Problem is, there's now sort of a let-down. Like I want to celebrate and be ecstatic but I'm already raising the bar higher - not that that's bad in and of itself. I find it hard to be really happy about meeting my goal - part of me wants to treat it as something commonplace, therefore unexciting, so as to make it more of a lasting, "normal" reality for me. Is there a method to be totally thrilled with achievement, but also avoid putting it on such a pedestal that it still feels "unnatural" or "undeserved"? It's not unusual for me to feel guilty about certain good fortune which falls my way.

Of course, a deeper, more troubling issue altogether is this burden of responsibility. My mind is alarmed, because if I can do anything, theoretically, that actually means I am responsible for my life, which is freaky... 🍾

High five the angel you give the credit to. Good 'nuff. And have a drink on it. Celebrate it, then forget it.

You are ambitious, that's awesome!!! It should be like that!

There are so many questions... it seems you are still very excited about it, just sleep over it. 😉
    Congrats once again!
