Not a parody per se. We can call him a jokester in as much as anyone unburdened would love a joke. My take is that his ideas were "all the questions of philosophy and enlightenment, they are what burdens you. To be undburdened, stop asking all these questions." But those are my words. I know as little as you do about this.
