Hexagram from a book
-
I downloaded an 18gig torrent full of ebooks on Magick and Mysticism. A book called "The Fundamentals of Esoteric Knowledge."
This Hexagram was in it:
http://home.comcast.net/~saintstephen/Magick/33.JPGIt has different kinds of triangles in it for the elements, plus alchemical elements.
Has anyone seen this before or know anything about it's validity in Magick or Qabala?
Thanks!
Frank

Wow, no confirmation or sightings at all on this Hexagram?
It's rare you find something in a book on Esoteric Knowledge you can't post on HeruRaHa and not find like 3 experts on the subject you posted upon.
This must be either very, very rare or not used/continued in Magick. Am I posting on the wrong forum for this? Maybe in Qabala?
Thanks,
Frank

You only gave it one day, maybe no-one had a chance to see it.
I can see a number of common elements in it, for instance the four elemental signs in the corners, and then the three signs in the middle; running from top to bottom are the alchemical signs for sulfur, mercury and salt.
To me this sign represents something similar to the great work of the outer college of A.
.A.
.To that end; Mind if i borrow it?
A link to the book it came from might be nice too.

It's a clever design. I've never seen it before. Instead of wondering about its "validity", why don't you meditate on it and see what it has to say to you?
A sigil or other magical design is a window into part of the astral realms. If out of all the books you downloaded this one picture has piqued your curiosity, that's probably your subconscious telling you to look through that window. There's something there for you to see.

Yes, it has spoken to me. However, I must admit that there are HUGE connections between myself and fire that go beyond birthday, sign, and whatnot. I really look at things in a pre-Jungian "archetypal" way.
So, in one way if I am thinking about something, might look right to me, and indeed it does... as mentioned there are all the alchemical signs for the elements, as well as all Elemental triangles, so I know it's not "incorrect", but by having someone else verify what it is, or why the alchemical fire is on the very top and why the water triangle is in the upper left point, I should like to better understand after such comments.
But as it turns out this is very rare indeed.
Thank you for all your replies. I will try meditating on it further.

Now that is something I did not notice.
Thank you.

You're so welcome. And thank you for your information. Now I do feel some genuine Magick weight with this hexagram. I will meditate on exactly where the elementals are as well as the alchemical signs.
Now that I look at it, the elemental triangles are left-to-right reversed from where they would be on a pentgram. Now that is strange..?..
I'd like to know where it came from originally.
Thanks Brother,
Frank

"Hmmmm. It's got 14 triangles. Like the body of Osiris? "
I count 16.

I also count 16--3 pointing up along the central axis and 3 pointing down; 2 pointing down on the left side and 2 pointing up; 3 pointing down on the right side and 3 pointing up.
That adds up to 16.

I counted 15. (only two pointing down on the central axis). The 'tip' triangle is missing lines in 2 corners so I didn't count it.
15 = 1+5 = 6

At least we're seeing the same thing.
Looking closer, I agree with you.

Thank you, Dar es Alrah, that is some keen knowledge. I have been meditating on this and it seems there is truth in this that I didn't notice before.
I shall think on it further.
Thanks, all
