Liber VII is available in various places online. If anyone has trouble finding it please reference heruraha.net/viewforum.php?f=71 for the "Libri of Aleister Crowley".

Some of my favorite stuff in Liber VII is in this chapter. Circa vv. 21–33 speak strongly to me. The concluding verses are also very powerful.

Ah, can't forget the "dark kisses" verse. Beautiful!

Again, very intoxicating and ecstatic verse. It feels like a path lit up less than this morning's chapter. With blood and stink and strange herbs and toads and slimy things. Still, all this is the context of adoration to the beloved, to "god", to the angel, to divinity. I enjoy the madness and the embrace of madness because it conceals something. Still the essence of joy, but with a cackle.

Y'know, up until now it hadn't ocurred to me to relate the "strange herbs" to the "strange drugs" in Legis. Not that it's that unique of a word, but still, nice "continuity."
