    93,

    Greetings, all.

I, like so many others here, am an initiate of OTO. I took my Minerval back in February of 2011--yikes! already/only a year and a half?--but I started studying Thelema in a serious way about six months before that when I started showing up at the local OTO body for Mass and the excellent classes they were offering.

Well before that, I started studying magic off and on--occasionally rather seriously--since back in high school in 2001. The first time I read Magick in Theory and Practice was at age 15, and I had no idea what Crowley was talking about, and segued pretty quickly into a rather idiosyncratic combination of generic energy work, lazy Golden Dawn style work, and even lazier chaos magic, which is where I stayed up through college. In the last couple of years, I finally decided to take my magical studies seriously.

I'm happy to find such a great forum with so many excellent fellow travelers on the path to illumination.

If there's anyone else here in Oklahoma City, I'd love to go get coffee and compare notes sometime, or I'm sure you can find me at the local OTO body at our public events. Otherwise, take heart! Even in the heart of the Bible Belt, one can find a community of committed Thelemites. It can happen to you, too!
