Visualizing Uriel?

No, I am laughing because with all my intellectual might and visualization skills, I shall never ever be able to

One of my weaknesses in practicing the LBRP is that I don't have good visualizations for the archangels -- except for Uriel, and the image came to me spontaneously. Uriel appears to me as having a head of flame, much the way the prophet Mohammed is often depicted. This obviously comes from the archangel's name, which means Fire of God (in Aramaic) or Light of God (in Hebrew).
The sheaf of wheat relates to Virgo, bread, and the attribution of Uriel to earth. But the attribution of the LBRP archangels to the elements seems spurious to me. My Uriel is the archangel of fiery Netzach, as the name suggests.

Gumble, if the image of Auriel spontaneously came to you, then my advice might be to meditate on the other archangels, even if it is for hours before they appear. One of the simplest ways I can think to do this is by sitting up in a meditative style on the floor, facing East, and visualize Auriel on your left, (North.)
After he appears, try looking in front of you, to the right of you, even behind you with your mind's eye.
One of the most important, if not the most important part of the conjuring of the archangels of the quarters is their effect upon you or the space your are purifying.
Visualize a yellow wind from the East in front of you. Feel it blow through and purify you and your surroundings. Visualize and feel a purifying blue water from behind you. Same with a Red/yellow fire in the South consecrating you and your space with fire. Finally, easiest for you, see the Earthen green power from Auriel cast his purifying spell, holding the forms of all the other three winds/elements, and "sealing the deal", so to speak.
In the highest reality, you are the four archangels. The infantry of your mind has many soldiers, and yes, they do look like the intelligences and powers around us. You must recognize these "external" powers as messengers of your HGA, (speaking of the four archangels, however everything that you encounter is actually a messenger of your Angel.)

Thank you for your advice. I may try something like that, though it sounds a lot like skrying, which I'm also not good at. I can't use your idea of the winds, though, because the association of these archangels with the elements seems wrong to me. (I realize this opinion makes me, once again, a minority of one.) The association to the sephiroth or planets (Raphael = sun, Gabriel = moon, Michael = Mercury, Hod, water, Uriel = Venus, Netzach, fire) makes more sense to me, both in context of the LBRP as well as linguistically and cabalistically.
Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki suggests an interesting meditation. Get in touch with your own healing powers, your body's ability to resist infection, recover from injury, etc., and then project it in front of you as Raphael. Get in touch with your own inner strength, then project it behind you as Gabriel. Get in touch with your sense of wonder at the awesomeness of the universe, then project it to your right as Michael. Get in touch with your innermost divinity and project it to your left as Uriel. (This is based on the translation of the archangel's names: divine healing, divine strength, "Who is like God?" and divine fire (or light).)
