Thank you for providing this avenue for the study of the systems and language of the Temple of Thelema.

I have been a practitioner of the old Aeon Golden Dawn ritual magick, initiatory ceremony and alchemy for almost ten years and have just finally come around to understanding the necessity of the Book of the Law. I appreciate the approach the Temple of Thelema provides by updating the old G.D. ritual framework to the New Aeon. The acceptance of Liber al vel Legis was both terrifying and liberating. The feeling was like waking up from a long slumber.

I look forward to reading and contributing to many fine discussions on your board.

Liber al vel Legis is not very forgiving in its razing of perceptual illusions and oppressive beliefs of the past.

The acceptance of the Book has come at a time of my life where truly embracing my own liberation involves the terrifying reality that in order to be spiritually liberated some previously cherished illusions will need to be destroyed.

In other words, in order to discover the True Will one must confront false will or perceptions and behaviors that are no longer best serving one's interests and the interests of the whole. This can be both invigorating and horrifying.

I have found that, in my Great Work, any practice which does not affect me with both adoration and terror is generally milktoast hogwash.
