Magick sweat?
No, im not talking about sex (lol)! Im talking about a magickal workout, and no, not just a middle pillar - im talking about actually working out.
I was doing my figurative daily dozen, and wondered if it would be possible to blend excercise with magick. What I mean is - say a banishing ritual with a small workout routine? Or a middle pillar with jogging, IDK, but you get the idea.
Has this been done? Before you mention Hatha Yoga, I already know yoga involves exercises - but im talking about a more modern fast paced, strength training, or cardio workout. Would this even work? Save a bit of time in morning to blend a banishing with a moderate workout wouldnt it? Mind and body type of thing like Hatha Yoga but sweatier lol.
Anyone already do this? Perhaps particular visualizations etc.? Any thoughts?

Weren't the original olympics in ancient Greece, at least partly ritual? Says here that they were in honor of the God Zeus:

I suppose any hard workout changes your consciousness and could take you into trance.

Many people who work magic in their lives are extremely super active, sports inclinded folks.
i personally have recommended it to people, and is one of the components of health that I advocate.
i am not talking about serious rituals and complex choreographed routines, but simple movements, guided with breathe, visualization and intention.
Very excellent way to bring results!

Thanks everyone, I think I'm going to try and work up a little routine, and see how it goes. Ill post it here when finished, in case your interested and want to try it. Id like any suggestions as well for such a magickal workout. I'm thinking simple of course, nothing elaborate - just like a simple routine with maybe a few words and visuals. Thanks!

Bodybuilding is an incredibly biopsychological sport (the mind-body link is incredible), which over the last two months I've gotten more serious about than in any other time in my life, although I've been stregnth training over seven years now.
I found that a great drive towards perfect execution of my Will combined with psyching out (energized enthusiasm) through bonding my lifts with, I swear it's true, sexual response, has made it possible to go through hundreds of reps a day in 5-6 exercise, up to and including my once a week round of 160 deadlifts.
On occasion I focus on invoking the spirit of heroic characters like Heracles, Jason, Samson, Arthur Saxon, Charles Atlas and Doc Savage to name a few, while starring at particular sigils for the duration of or at the peaks of movements.
When I'm doing C-Yoga, on top of controlling sun and moon breaths, focusing on the primary colors while connecting them with body regions, mentally initiating myself into the mysteries of chromopsychology, electrochemistry and magnetohydrodyamics, I also visualize the vertical tetragrammaton, at each of the four dyadic sections, all the while trying, and I'm putting emphasis on the trying part (it's danged hard) to fill my incoming heart beat with love, holding the beat in Elohim, and releasing it in Peace.
Suffice it to say, throwing hundreds of pounds of weight around whild sigilizing is more fun, but having that integrated infraself ready and tuned really throws a glorious light on everything else.

Most definitely there is potential for Magick in workouts. As it was said before about bodybuilding; I used to body build/weight lift every night at the same time late at night. In doing so I would be the only one in the gym, and my entire would out would be magickal. At some points I would focus my mind to a single point and clear it of all muddled thoughts, other times Pranayama (Or Qigong as I learned it) is practical to do. Controling your breathing while projecting energy on the exhale and lift; You will notice that projecting that energy will help you lift more.
Also as previously stated Invoking spirits is tremendously helpful. Personally I would put on some Amon Amarth and Invoke the Norse gods. Eventually me and my friend were dead lifting cars.

Prefer, do I, to sweat a few hours before I perform a ritual.
It gets the extra misguided energy kinks out of my body so I can exercise a ritual more smoothly, less stressfully.
Now combining things like wine and strange drugs, with ritual, is what one should shoot for.
I read something like this by Crowley somewhere, stating that if one doesn't get enough regular exercise, then meditation and ritual will not be as successful.

There is no reason why they can not be combined.
Though you are not giving your all to visualize and creating the items if your are busy trying to do something else as well.The energy used to lift a car is energy bled out of the ritual, which would be going straight into the Earth if the ritual was properly grounded.

I thought to add:
During my daily practices, I usually start out with some Dancing or Hatha Yoga.
Work the Tempas and spread it through my body, opening it to reception.
Followed by Meditation, with Ritual (Magick) topping it off.I certainly see a value in 'working' your way up.

You have a healthy regimen there, Uni.
However, I find that if I perform a banishing pentagram ritual before meditation, there is less "noise" in the room/surroundings and I am more successful in meditation.

My body is the Temple and I prepare it for the Ritual.
