"Brotherhoods"

(Couldn't tell where exactly this topic fits in.)
There are supposedly three "schools" or "brotherhoods": the Black one which Buddha belonged to, the Yellow one which Laozi belonged to, and the White one which Crowley belonged to.
This concept bugged me as soon as I read about it some time ago, and I intented to figure it out on my own with time. But, no, I'm gonna ask.
Buddha's "black brotherhood" is not the same "Black Brotherhood" of the Black Brothers at all, right? "Are" he and Laozi on the Great White Brotherhood above the Abyss anyway or not? And is the "white brotherhood" the same as the Great White Brotherhood, or is it just white brotherhood, nothing "great" about it?

Exactly. (And it's not a "black brotherhood," it's "The Black School of Magick," not to be confused with "The School of Black Magick.")

Thank you.
I read the term "brotherhood" in this context on an essay by Frater Thor. I already knew about the Schools of Magick, but in that case the author seemed to equal the White School with the G.W.B. or S.S., which obviously leads to a seriously misleading view that I know some people share around here.

"I don't exactly agree with Crowley's last sentence here, as I think it's simply the case that in every person there is a certain inclination at work that makes one of the 3 fundamental laws more apprehensible than the other two. The other two aren't secondary but are apprehended secondly by virtue of the primary apprehension by which the other two become apparent. Thus - it is a matter of personal inclination that leads one to a school."
I always felt an inclination towards the Black School, and even though I "belong" to the White School now, I can't really tell the difference, you know? Sorrow is joy. Even the Yellow one doesn't seem contradictory at all. This is the reason I, sometime ago, called these three categories completely useless. I may be wrong objectively, but to me, it doesn't matter.
You gave me a lot to think.
