So im not too sure as where to place this topic within the Forum. A little new at this I am. But here it goes.

I read some of the experiences people Have had in the topic "Dreams or Visions?" here at the forum and it sparked a memory I had many years ago..
I was about 11, or 12. In retrospect I associate my age with the grade I was in in school and vice-versa. a means of memory retrieval.
Not sure of the Date but it was 2300, or 11pm, your fancy.. Its important to know the setting, Im sitting at the dinning room table a 25ft x
15ft room where both the dining table and the family room couch/tv/love seats, etc. are all of the same room. the bar to my back and the
hallway to my left(exit 1) and to the front several paces and also on the left (exit 2) into the living room, back door to deck area. Both exits
are open doorways. "exit 2" is where "it" came from. Im eating soup of some kind, the chandelier is the only light on and is above the table at
which I am sitting, the hallway light is on through "exit 1" this leads to my grandparents bedroom where they were watching the Late Show
with Dave Letterman, my dog keeping company. To the right of the table I was enjoying late night soup is in old antique, victorian style buffet
with drawers and pop-latch doors. The whole house is hard wood so the floor creaks and when something bears weight, in front of the buffet,
and the floor gives way, one of the loose pop-latch doors open. Every time.. Upon sitting at the table someone or something
stepped one foot at a time from "exit2" and walked in front of the table and halted at the buffet when the pop-latch door opened. This was
like as if I watched someone walk through the room, but no figure, or aparition like in the movies.. The one thing I remember most was the
presence of an entity. This presence however was not hostile or negative in anyway, rather neutral. but i was too spooked to stick around and
find out what happened next. This event always perplexed me, I have drawn my own conclusions as to its cause and source, but it never
happened again and I remained in the same house for the next 6 years or so. i also dont discuss it much and, Im not fanatical about it or
supposed "ghost" in anyway. And I find shows on TV to be a load of bull. furthermore all TV's are brainwash devices anyway, so I advise you
    all just turn them off.

But okay, now for some feedback, thoughts, insights. go!

I recently thought about the groaning of homes in relation to the geological stresses in the local bedrock/plates.

It would seem to me, that a skeptical person could say that what you heard, were indeed the sounds of footprints, but could have been morelikle cause by the expansion/contraction of the crust of the earth, and the sounds were the memories of pressures held by the planks of wood from people walking in the same place over time......

    Wow,
This never crossed my mind not even once, but what a plausible explanation. What we consider anomalies are assumed to be of nature. It boggles
me to think that as hominid we can be so naive to the forces of the universe that we so eagerly shove away with more illusions of a material exisistence. a tangent thought.
