Advanced astral vision
-
How far astral vision has it been known to succeed concerning litteral astral vision, i mean, as in the exercise of 3=8 where you see properly all the planets in right proportion and timing in real time...? How successful are Adepts in such practices, can they see properly for instance at the same time various solar systems, galaxies, universes, and so on?
Also, as everyone is a star, is it an Adept's practice to locate one's own actual star if there is such a thing? Is there a "geographical"(vibrational)place in the astral where there is one's star which is one's own HGA?

That's not actually astral vision (ironicaly: because it is certainly a vision of stars!).
I found the practice extremely worthwhile, and quite powerful. However, there is no way to generalize on how good adepts have been at it overall, because there is no exam in it. It is a practice to assist (one of the several 3=8 practices that "builds bridges" between Yetzirah and Briah), but without examination.
"Also, as everyone is a star, is it an Adept's practice to locate one's own actual star if there is such a thing?"
Yes. But it's not a physical star "out there." It's the inmost center of the adept himself or herself.

Great, this points out a confusion which seems floating in a lot of places and needs to be clarified.
How would you call this exercise of 3=8? For instance skrying? Active imagination? It depends on the level of proficiency?
Also, what if it is done while fully projected? From the little i know it would seem different, but what if we are "between" the two worlds while doing it? Isnt it astral vision?
How do you call the lower astral where shapes are very close to their physical counterpart? Is this part of astral what is "hit" during "skrying"? Does this correspond to Ether, "to" advanced Dominus Liminis of G.'.D.'.(or early Adept), to what an author called "real time zone", and to Bardon's "between earth and moon" zone...? In A.'.A.'. it's the degree of exposition to LUX one is supposed to bear at midway of Neophytus or something like that?

The technique pretty often ends up employing imagination, especially the learning phase. The task is written, though, from the place of actually extending your perceptions and, most specifically, NOT just imagining what it might be like.
I would call it a variant technique of Gnana Yoga. (Not the usual kind, but something similar.) That is, it actually engages the rational intellect in a way that sets processes in motion that eventually will expand that faculty out of the Yetziratic to the Briatic. However, in the drill itself, it may not do that. (It may... or not... depends on the individual, their skill, etc. The task for the grade is just to undertake the practice; there is no test in results. It is then for a specific Philosophus working with that specific Practicus to help him or her along to better the practice.)
"How do you call the lower astral where shapes are very close to their physical counterpart?"
Etheric.
"Is this part of astral what is "hit" during "skrying"?"
Often. It's not part of what's tested, but one definitely spends some time at that level. I think of it as the drive way, and you have to get your car out of the drive way before getting out on the road.

I have no idea what you're getting at here. In classic G.D., btw, there is no astral work before 5=6, so it would not be part of the Portal work.

I get so excited about all these different meditation practices. This one seemed really cool, I actually tried a little bit of the first section of the text, which seemed to me to be about sharpening your intuition and your quickness. I thought it was connected with the overall vision of the solar system, to try to get a real sense of proportion by realizing how "numbers" actually look (he says it's very difficult to realize the size of the earth in comparison with yourself).
I'd really like to try this one day but I'm still working on the basics. It's insane to me that he's talking about "accidentally" going into dhyana and samadhi.
