The ring of Solomon and John Dee

I've read that the Angels who communicated the magic ring to be worn during
the Enochian transmissions to John Dee and Edward Kelly, specified that it was
the true ring of Solomon. I could see why this could be a heavily debated topic,
after reading Mathers/Crowley Goetia I noticed the ring included was the Goetic
ring of Solomon (Circular with Letters). How many have formulated opinions on this
and what evidence would support John Dee in his faithful communication to the
Angels vs. the ring Crowley illustrates in his book?Ian
