This book seems a bit more straightforward at the outset. This differs so drastically from idea of religion growing up (primary Christian centric). There is no shame and no sorrow for those that seek the image behind the image. This is the fishhook thrown into the currents of this Aeon. All joys can be realized here and now, in this life, and not just promised in another. There is still a rooting out here, there is still admonishment for those things that can enslave us, and lead us astray; however, the overall feel of the book is enticing, supporting, and empowering.

    Tarot Meditation - The Emperor

The light is cast permeating endless space. A phoenix appears out of nowhere releasing a warlike cry. Its tone threatens. And equally out of nowhere an entire army of phoenixes arise filling space with incredible ferociousness, swarming down like bees, flying together in unison in a liking of a single arrow. There are fires flaming, burning the material world, leaving behind miniature rubies, but myriads of them. Where once green earth was is now an ocean of precious stones. Those who cannot resist greed in their heart drown at the bottom of the red sea. Now phoenixes swirling down, their wings enflamed, like scavengers grabbing claw-full of rubies and once again lifting up into the sky facing the scorching sun. Fearless and not giving in to the weakness they persist the refinement of their spirit as their flesh burns in the light of the Sun. And by offering their very spirit of raw and martial nature they gain the body of light, which needs no shield of metal for it transcends all dangers and tribulations.
There is intoxication in the air, the red wine flows. There is a genocide of ripe grapes as their perfume fills the air and their sweetness makes victory. Such victory is desirable for it clenches the thirst of the fiery tongues. The joy of refinement is pain to the body but utter pleasure and delight to the heart.
As the snake sheds its skin, so the old pains must be released, for fresh joy and victory cannot ride in on a rusty chariot. And the sour wine doesn’t clench the thirst, but dries the lip that yearns ever more for water.
Upon the battlefield a single rose blooms, carrying lustral dew on her petal.

Tzaddi is perfect. Not that the other Holy Books aren't, but here it is evident. It never fails to delight me, inspire me and—sometimes—give me a few hard knocks.

Recommended? So there's no dying on the Lord on March 24? 😀 😆
