May 18 (Air) Liber LXV, Cap II, v. 17-19
-
**17. Also the Holy One came upon me, and I beheld a white swan floating in the blue.
18. Between its wings I sate, and the æons fled away.
19. Then the swan flew and dived and soared, yet no whither we went.
**This series of verses with the swan are my favorite in the chapter.
Such heights are experienced floating in eternity. Whatever movement is made we are still floating in eternity.
It comes to my attention now that this occurs after the progression of the Ideal, in the previous verses, from a an illusion or projection into the realization of it as the true purpose of our being and our subsequent union with it. Very beautiful.
