An invocation, and why not, we are advised to "invoke often" by Crowley in various places and to "Intoxicate the inmost, O my lover, not the outermost!" in Chapter 1 of this book.
The Angel and Adept are both the beloved, a dance, a call and response, and eternal union by the journey of the soul. Although, in my current state of mind, I don't feel this with absolute manifestation in my life, I do feel this is an interplay that always exists. The mirror must be polished, the grime must be lifted, and once perception is cleansed a glimpse of the operations of the Universe may further be revealed as our consciousness is ready for it.
