**47. I am shed out like spilt blood upon the mountains; the Ravens of Dispersion have borne me utterly away.
    48. Therefore is the seal unloosed, that guarded the Eighth abyss; therefore is the vast sea as a veil; therefore is there a rending asunder of all things.
    **

    Nice 😲

I haven't gotten these memorized myself, but the daily small chunks certainly lend to that.

I teeter totter on whether these verses express pain or pleasure. I think probably both, exceedingly 👿

Spilt blood, the old container laid to waist, our life force splashed out across creation. The Ravens of Dispersion is a great image of depravity, hunger, and a ravaging going forth. The spreading out of the life force encompasses all that we have available in consciousness. We take part in it All and with no limitations set forth we are loosened from what restricted us previously according to our progress. The kingdom of heaven is taken by force and the veil is ripped asunder.

Very motivating verses. Perhaps the Eighth Abyss refers to Hod combined with other ocean imagery for this Water chapter.

It can easily be the other around too, i.e. Binah (Eighth Grade), which is also Water. 8 is Cheth, of course, which opens to Binah, and is attributed to Cancer, an Water sign. Etc.

Yeah, I looked at Crowley's commentary afterwards and he concurs 😀 . Also, he likens the verses to a process of crossing the Abyss. Cool stuff and interesting to see the different twists and turns one could take.

When reading the verses today, I was reminded of the images from ATU XII, The hanged man

I think, this year, I haven't mentioned that this is the chapter I memorized as a Probationer. I love this chapter - got to know it intimately, syllable by syllable.

There are other parts of Liber LXV I adore, but this chapter - inch by inch - has never lost its wonder for me. Verily and amen!

You have, on its day of the High Holy Season.

(When we get to Liber VII, tell us which chapter you had for 1=10—that isn't published anywhere, unless I missed something.) 😀

And then CCXX Cap 1, Trigrammaton (only one chapter), and ARARIThA last chapter.
