September 1 (Spirit) Liber LXV, Cap. V, v. 48-49
-
**48. Also I heard the voice of Adonai the Lord the desirable one concerning that which is beyond.
49. Let not the dwellers in Thebai and the temples thereof prate ever of the Pillars of Hercules and the Ocean of the West. Is not the Nile a beautiful water?

"that which is beyond" is interesting here. The previous verses outline the union with the angel, but now Adonai speaks of that which is beyond. The pillars of Hercules bring to mind struggle, battle, and ordeal as do the Oceans of the West. Also, perhaps it is speaking of that which is truly beyond, untraveled, and existing only in myth. "Hey, you haven't been there yet and it is a bit far off - don't ridicule it, don't worry about it, do your thing until it is time for you to take that trip if you choose" is the general feeling I get from these verses at this time.
