93!
I am a young man still in search of his HGA while constantly In conflict with myself on the subject of my true Will. "Do what thou Wilt shall be the whole of the law" and it is truly Will that I am lacking. For I have been quite lazy recently, dependent or perhaps addicted to the mild mind altering vice cannabis. I've been told to read "Diary of a drug fiend" as I'd may shake my funk. I am here to be social with like minds and become influenced by the conversations and disputes of my peers.
"Love is the law, love under Will"

Welcome Tribus!
There is much that can be gained from judicious use of the cannabis plant, but if you use it to the point that you recognize a dependency, it'll probably be difficult to discover the benefits. I wish you luck in finding that borderland of will vs. necessity.

Crowley's essays on "the Herb Dangerous" provide a lot of insight onto the use of that herb as a tool, as well as Israel Regardie's essay "Roll Away the Stone" that further elaborates on Crowley's essays. Keep in mind that the "samples" Crowley used were exponentially weaker than what's available now and of a single variety.
Like I said, it's a tool to be used, and like any other tool, it's not useful for everything. A hammer can drive nails better than a pen, but is useless as a writing implement.
