    1. Be not contented with the image.
    2. I who am the Image of an Image say this.
    3. Debate not of the image, saying Beyond! Beyond!
      One mounteth unto the Crown by the moon and by the Sun, and by the arrow, and by the Foundation, and by the dark home of the stars from the black earth.
    4. Not otherwise may ye reach unto the Smooth Point.

    Look beyond the Kingdom, the world of images and distractions, toward that which lies further within, toward the Foundation where gathers the light from above in aethereal forms.

    Smooth Point: Kether; also Hadit.
    LQS: Punctum Lenis = 149

    Image = a reflection of light. Be not contented with this reflection only, thinking that "the thing itself" is Beyond, on some "other side"; it's Here & Now.
    Kether is in Malkooth, going "down" is going Up ("One mounteth unto the Crown by the moon and by the Sun, and by the arrow, and by the Foundation, and by the dark home of the stars from the black earth" - i.e. Gimel-Tifereth-Samekh-Y'sod-Malkooth). The Goal is not to be understood as beyond, it's inherently in Assiah - the material reality manifests Kether perfectly.

    I am not content with an image.

    This black earth's lies don't satisfy
    (What is buried underneath?)

    Nor does the veil of the night sky
    Which must be yanked away.

    The Foundation that seems so firm
    Is but a jumping-off point.

    The arrow points me in a direction
    But all arrows fall short.

    The inconstant moon waxes and wanes
    And tells a different story every day of the month.

    The Sun, source of light and life
    Is but a star among stars.

    The Crown--is it smooth, or is it a point?
    It's just an end to a means.

    There are plenty of other means and other ends
    Where that came from.
