I have a few questions regarding the symbol of Thelema:
0. Should this symbol be considered the symbol of Thelema?- Why a unicursal hexagram?
- Why a star / five-petal flower at the center?
- When did this symbol become the symbol of Thelema?
- Was it done by Crowley? Done by someone else, but approved by Crowley?
Thank you!

I don't know the specifics, hopefully someone else can fill those in. The unicursal hexagram with the five-petaled flower in the center equates to eleven (petals + points), which is the number of magick, and also the number of letters in "Abrahadabra," the Great Work completed. It is therefore a symbol of entirety or the universe.

it's a Rose Cross. it's also a glyph of the 5 and the 6, Microcosm and Macrocosm, that doesn't partake in any of the Osirian symbolism.
for the aspirant to the A . ' . A . ' . the main goal should be Knowledge and Conversation...this represents that as well. But 6 is also the Mystic number of Saturn...which is the next big resting-point in the system.
more on the 5 and 6, as a final note...crowley said "Equilibrium is the basis of the work". which of the 22 trumps denotes equilibrium, and which sephiroth does it connect?
