Hello everyone!

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Thank you so much for joining our Thelemic/Hermetic book club, where we will study, discuss, and explore works related to Thelema, magick, mysticism, and related esoteric traditions.

Our purpose for this book club is to build a community of bibliophiles where we can enrich our understanding of Thelema through texts and weekly dialogue.

Book Selection

A discussion board thread will be available for individuals to propose books throughout the year. At the end of our quarterly reading, we will all vote to determine the next text using an online polling system.

Schedule & Format

Books will be divided into manageable weekly sections, with one thread per section, pinned with guiding questions.

Members may read ahead, but spoilers should be marked when discussing future content.

Discussion Guidelines

A diversity of interpretation is expected. Please debate the ideas, not the person, and quote page numbers or verses when possible.

Members may share personal practices or insights, but please do not prescribe methods to others. Also, what happens in book club, stays in book club! Please respect the privacy of individuals who choose to share personal anecdotes and experiences.

Silence may also be a form of participation. Reading along quietly is valid — there is no pressure to post every week.

Thelemic Spirit

No interpretation is “authoritative.” Members are encouraged to “find their own way.”

Skeptical, humorous, or irreverent takes are welcome, so long as they remain in good faith.

Remember: “Love is the law, love under will.”

Moderation

Posts attacking individuals, groups, or faiths are not allowed.

Please use side threads for tangents.

Both initiates and the curious are welcome — please no gatekeeping.

The moderators' role is to facilitate, not dominate discussion.

Optional Additions

A quarterly Zoom will be held in celebration of concluding a book. All are welcome!

This Zoom will be led by the moderator of the concluding chapter.
