I don't know you, I have never met you, but I want you to know you are loved. I have been in similar dark places, as others in this forum have been. IMHO, I would earnestly counsel a therapist to assist with the feelings you have been having along with relaxation meditation and banishings as discussed above. I apologize, but I will refrain from sharing the specifics of my dark moments, as I feel they would pale in comparison to what others have gone through.

Starting with Purusha, I see I was completely off. Tao would be associated with Kether on the tree. Would Purusha be associated with Neschmah and Binah? In retrospect and further investigation the others are just plain wrong. Again thank you for any further insights.

I have a question about the Sankhya philosophical concepts of Sattva, Rajas, Tamas, and Purusa. Would it be fair to say that Sattva would be comparable to Yin, Rajas to Te, Tamas to Yang, and Purusa to Tao? Thank you for any thoughts.

I have been working toward identifying imprinting from my former life, which was based on Old Aeon ideals. Specifically, meditating recently on the abominable myth of "Sin", I felt my personal paradigm shift dramatically. It seems that I finally understood that the "Soul" is pure genius and free of the need to be saved. Along with the freedom and truth that came from such a personal understanding, it brought new awareness to dealing with my son growing up and making sure not to carry over imprinting of this nature.

Do situations such as this "stick" or do you find yourself regressing? I realize identifying what one does is the first step to avoid repeating undesirable actions. Just wondering if any have had similar experiences.

With the upcoming planned cesarean birth of our son on the 23rd I have been searching unsuccessfully for any resources for bringing up children within the New Aeon. Allowing him to find his True Will, being careful not to impose my Will on him too much, and reading Liber Al have been my only ideas so far. I would appreciate any recommendations.

As I also live in Wisconsin, I understand your plight. Use the previous recommendations for possible travel. I would also recommend a search through previous topics, as this question has been proposed a few other times with additional ideas and routes. I personally, patiently continue to study, practice, and improve myself. If it my fate, a teacher will present themselves. I hope for success, joy, and growth in your Work.

1. To judge Crowley's life would be impossible for me. As it would be, for anyone to judge my life having not lived it. He was an artist whom poured his money and time into promoting his True Will. I don’t believe it was a wasted. I don’t feel external difficulties have a bearing on how great a person (magician) is, I feel it is how one handles them that defines them. Additionally, I don’t believe I have read that his death was a terrible and lonely one. Even if it had been his adventurous and joy filled life must have overshadowed it. The fact that the world still remembers him and his teaching lives on must also speak for itself.

I don’t believe Crowley is Thelema though. For me he is the Prophet of the New Aeon but we are the body and the hands (to use an analogy of the Old Aeon). There are a multitude of great leaders such as Soror Meral, Jim Eshelman, as well as many on these forums and others of different traditions that seek to further each of us to want to reach our potential.

2. I can only speak for myself as having had previous “peak” experiences that I sought to give meaning to over the years. Unable to categorize or experience again for some time, I sought truth everywhere. Through my self-training and studying of basic Thelemic/Yogic philosophy and ritual I was able to recreate the same experiences under specific controlled circumstances, which I was able to repeat. That was enough to prove it to me. Whether it is delusion or truth it makes no difference to me. I am not seeking to prove it to others. “Success is thy proof: argue not; convert not; talk not over much!” AL III:42
   I am not affiliated with any specific group due to my geography. This forum for all the supposed bickering has educated me. Though it is no substitute for real community or a one-on-one teacher has helped me through some tough times. For that I am thankful and grateful.

You should find what works best for you and follow it. As for me I feel I have come home. I wish you success and happiness on your path.

I think it all comes down to personal perspective at a given moment in time. Good to one can be evil to another if one accepts such black and white terms. Crowley like anyone was a constantly evolving and changing individual. I myself am constantly viewing, experiencing, and interpreting the world through the years of old aeon understanding and balancing it with my growing knowledge of the new aeon. Overlapping is bound to happen. But when i refer to god or the devil keep in mind it is probably not the same exact concept or archtype you are refering to. Keep investigating and don't take my word or anyone else's for truth. Find the answer yourself.

I just want to add that it is my understanding the concept of "Satan” or "Ha-Satan" is a title for "Adversary" or "Accuser". Similar to "Mister” or "Mrs." So I guess referring to the taxman as my personal satan is appropriate.

The creation of an evil entity equal to "God" was the influence of Zoroastrianism and fear based dogma. Thus the image of Pan and other "pagan" archetypes was juxtaposed to turn competing gods into devils.

I understand how difficult it is to move from years of concepts and a mind inundated by the old aeon slave religions but questioning and continued research will illuminate and clarify.

I have been recently, in certain circumstances, been finding myself aligning with the image and ideal of Ra-Hoor-Khuit. These seem to be circumstances where i need to grow or assert myself. Would anyone have any recommendations for me to meditate upon that relates to similar rituals/writings. Obviously Liber AL has been on my list. Thank you for any recommendations or insights. -Erik

After the death of a close family friend, I was wondering what Thelemic rituals or writings would you recommend, or feel is appropriate if one wanted to conduct a personal remembrance service for them? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
