well we certainly know that the Esoteric Titles (as given in 777, with minor changes) date back to the Golden Dawn, yet I'm still curious whether Mathers/Westcott continued a prior tradition's nomenclature, or whether they received them.

I recently read in some B.O.T.A literature that the 10 aspects of Consciousness used in the QBListic system (Sephiroth) also exist in Eastern Schools. I am wondering what those parallales may be? I am not aware of any, who has a clue?

The Book Of Thoth tells us that the symbolic representation of Libra in the Aeon Atu fore-shadows the Aeon which is to come after this one.

I realized I am not aware what Zodiac this current Aeon is assigned to in the Thelemic context.... whats the system behind it? sequence of the atus ( as in the yearly assigmnets) or sequence of zodiacs? or something completely different?

Fortunately the recording from the Bodhi tree lecture features you reading it, and a few CD set are still available for purchase.....

In fact at that lecture you also mentioned the "lucid dreaming by snooze alarm" (or something along those lines) method which might be worth a try for someone who can't recall their dreams....
Jim, could you please remind me how long after falling asleep the alarm should go off for ideal effects? In fact I did this last night for the first time in forever, so its interesting to come across this thread and the "no-dreams" dilemma right now...

Are there any correspondences recognized between the Sephiroth and musical notes?
I am in particular interested in a pitch that resonates well with Yesod. I would use A natural, since on the King Color Scale Yesod matches Ayin's and Tav's Indigo/blue-violet.
Any suggestions? Any knowledge of a traditional set of correspondences?

I am not clear on what the rules are for pronunciation of Aleph.
When is AChD Achad, when Eched? Are there rules, or is open to interpretation?
I am instinctively drawn to pronounce Aleph as [Ah] in many Hebrew words (TiphAhreth, Ahlohim,... ). maybe its just my European upbringing where the Greek Alpha and Hebrew Aleph were always pronounced [AH] rather than the [AE] / [E] found in the English pronunciation (TiphEreth, Elohim,...)

I think even with "crap gematria" one can explore the endless and interesting synchronicities of the universe we live in. I do not believe in chance or coincidence, so if two humanly conceived words have the same numerical value, one can attach meaning of some sort to that.
along this line of thinking, crossing languages and alphabets in the gematria context also seems to be a fairly reasonable practice to me.

I thought this might be an interesting starting point for a discussion, especially because I have been wondering about this myself ever since I had a Vedic birth chart reading done a few years ago, which specifically mapped out some areas of my life, future partners, career, etc. In retrospect I sometimes find these predictions that have been made bothersome and counterproductive. I should say that I do have a lot of faith in the abilities of the person doing the reading, and I did get a lot of important and helpful data for self analysis and a better understanding of myself out of the whole thing though.

What do you think? Any personal experience on your end?
