I would be interested to hear comments on Lugum's method. Because:

YEARS ago, I was also an IV drug user, but into Magic. (Without a proper K, symbolizing the purity, sexuality, and Kabalistic divinity of what we all do now.) I would draw blood after using as Lugum did, but I would use it for talismans and spells. (I had not gotten into Crowley yet, more along the lines of someone who had gotten into "Satanic" Magic and other "Esoteric" practices that just won't flow with the true Magickal power of the Earth.

This was also BECAUSE I was an iV drug user. Very shortly after, I found Crowley, the Equinox, MITAP, and Diary of a Drug Fiend. After DOADF, I was not shooting in like 4 months. I stopped the H, and started drinking Opium Poppy tea, (completely legal almost everywhere.)

There was no immediate reward "rush" after drinking a cup, it was more than 6 times cheaper than H, and it took hours to completely manifest making it not very habit-forming. Within a few months of that, I didn't need opiates anymore... but you know what... I still drink it, sometimes a few times a week, when I have serious work to get done.

Regarding Crowley's view on Opiates: (Paraphrasing).. 'When one has removed the need to use, one can then use freely without fear of addiction. This is because one uses it only as one needs it for work. One doing one's true Will will not use and be addicted, they will be focusing on the marvels they will accomplish with the help of the drug, and the thought of using the drug after the work is completely non-extant.'

Of course this applies to every kind of drug from food to sex. "Always unto me. And no harm shall come from them"
Again, Paraphrasing, Nuit HERSELF, regarding the use of the drugs she revealed to Crowley. For those who do not know, they are Hashish, Cocaine, Peyote (The Cactus), Opium, Heroin, and Wines AND Wines that foam.

I've done my research, research, research.

So I can come back to fine folks like you share these ideas.

I would generally leave it off because you are only pulling the invocation to the level of Yetzirah (invoking Thoth to a psychological level: No actual feathers are expected to appear in the room 😄 ), though it's worth experimenting with both ways."

Haha thanks. I was wondering if I was supposed to pull the energy down to Yetzirah or Assiah. I tried the ritual last night using the Chokmah Hexgrams and invoking all the way down to Assiah. The entire feel of the ritual felt inaccurate. I will do it again today making the adjustments above.

Well, but it´s in my first post, I first wanted to make a distinction or relationship between your evolution of Light theory and the speciecist dogma, I said that I don´t necessary disagree with your point. Again, our eternal misunderstandig. 😄

Very interesting. I remember a similar point with chimps, it is that all the language that they can learn, they pass it to their children, and develop new words and concepts, so in several generations, who knows where it might go.

In his books Regardie (that is, the author of this rite) wrote to visualize the spheres and pillar inside the body (at least The Golden Dawn, The Middle Pillar, 12 steps). But the 776 1/2 (actually not only) says that they are half exterior to the body. Which way is correct for beginner?

I can see that. That's one of the reasons I have been coming back to this forum.

I like this type of approach. I rely heavily on intuitive leaps myself, but I also, often, take advantage of the time to investigate things more empirically when I have that opportunity. Many times, the way that I find a thing that I want to study in more depth, and more empirically, is something that I have found through intuitive means. Sometimes you have to make a decision though, time runs out, or you hit a fork in the road and you have to leap intuitively towards your goal and there isn't time for being overly analytical.

You still believe it should be hand written in detail later though right? I've heard of some people's journals being fully electronic (due to convenience of space/quick searches). Are you saying that you would support that?

I think even recording that you forgot to or were unable to perform Resh still requires some discipline. For some reason I never considered the idea that I may want to record for other things besides practice. Good call on that. 😊
