Liber O and Liber E contain the "bulk" of the practices from the first few grades. Any and all experimentation/practice of these will be good for you. So yes, buy your journal and hop to it

Yes, let's start saying you're persecuted when someone doesn't agree with you on a web forum. We will have to agree to disagree. Even despite the fact that I was an abused child, I still feel that when we incarnate, we have some choice in it. There is something to be learned and something gained, something to help guide us on our way, in the many paths out there - no matter how ugly/horrific it may appear.

I found your first line rather at odds with the rest of what you say. You label Hitler's actions (which I am not condoning) as pathological which is mutually exclusive from True Will. Then, you proceed to explain how "...they are a necessary result of our not being able to resolve our issues as a species." The HGA is there to kick us when we're down as much as it is to pick us up afterwards. There is no good or evil in the HGA (whose role is to guide us towards our True Will - whatever it may be). I think we're beginning to step into a larger picture here, the True Will of the human race, but the microcosm of a man reflects the macrocosm of the people. There may be greater forces at play and Hitler's True Will was to be apart of that speedbump for the human race on its path towards its True Will.

Good question and I'm not sure if there's a politically correct answer to that. If Adolph Hitler didn't rise to power, resulting in the deaths of numbers unknown, would he still have been living his "Will"? I don't know. Everyone's acorn has a destiny or calling to grow to something and uninhibited it may be great to others or terrible.

Just a quick note but this is why I do ANY ritual and in particular, why I like liber Resh so much. Aside from the LBRP, prolonged performance of this ritual has been a staple in my ritual work.

Why don't you ask your initiating Neophyte or Cancellarius of the lineage that you were scheduled to initiate into? While the Temple of Thelema is affiliated with a lineage of the AA, it's not that lineage and so you won't get answers on how the lineage you're initiating into does business. There are many lineages out there, some in periods of silence and some in speech and some who are the real deal and some who are fraudulent. Just do your homework.

Third, shouldn't matter. Crowley's is a really good translation but really, there are several that are good. If you get the one with a few different translations, then it could probably help give you even more insight into their meaning.

I played around with it but I'm not sure how it's exactly working with these words. Try adding more letters on to kengaku for example - it doesn't change the value. IMO, Gematria only seems to work well when you translate the words into Hebrew. Trying to work directly with Japanese, IMO, isn't going to work too well. Take for example your kuruma which is only one rendering of the word. Another perfectly viable translation of the word would be kuluma. Or take tanoshii, which is an i adjective and so only written in such form when used as the sole adjective and in the nonnegative present or future tense. I think Japanese has it's only built in relation between words by the kanji choice in them. Some Japanese children play word games with this, and the Japanese are fond of puns because of this, but I think it's kind of turned out to be their equivalent of gematria.

Astrolog has been around for quite some years. It doesn't have any fancy built in interpretation/chart building functions but it has a robust calculation engine with lots of functions, including working in sidereal and it's free

Any good book will show you both how to draw up a chart and explain to you the essential characteristics of each sign. Or you can use any of the multitude of free or paid programs out there to draw the chart for you. If you want to know some tips on how to read an astrological chart in the sidereal vein, check out Jim's solunars.net which has some pretty good tips on how to read a chart. Actually, there is just ALOT of info in general on there about sidereal. Well, it appears it's down right now...but whenever it comes back up.
