I only know about the parts of the litterature she has written on astrology. I have more here, but havent looked at it in any coherent way. A.A.B met with the tibetan Djwhal Kuhl once before she died.

It is difficult litterature to understand and its messy in that way its easy to lose the red thread in it. However, me and the rest of my class have probably approached it wrong, missing out alot that should have been understood before taking on our particular subject. I have to say I am very satisfied with integrating AB's stuff into astrology, if not the subject of development and the work that needs to be done on a personal level would have been almost non excistent. Classical astrology has a tendency to be a caricature of itself, but Bailey's work have made astrology whole.

Lol! Ahem-humm. I confess..I'm one of those old men already. Hopefully, the new year will bring some brand new mistakes so that I can feel that I have done something practical too. Best wishes for the new year to you too Alrah

The only comfort I ever had is that we are all going the same way.

My grandfather died several years ago. 3 months ago I was at his grave together with my family. The same night I had an intense encounter with him in a dream. He was all light, but he looked like himself during what I believe to be his best years. It was short, but it was an intense, loving encounter that felt real to the bones. Woke up crying and couldnt stop until an hour later. First time experience. People I talk to about it think it was a real encounter.

I never payd much attention to my dreams, but when I started out paying attention to my real needs again...things have changed.

Apophis, it is a quite open question. Interesting...I can relate to what you are saying. The more you are in line with the true Will ,the more potent outcomes or? I have made and is in the middle of making changes over time now..and it seems to awaken intuition, dreams and the feeling of being given what you need to get further. But, when obstacles arise its not always easy to know whether to fight or let go...often ending up wasting energy on negative feelings.

There has been a thread here on animal sacrifice. I am wondering about sacrifices in magick rituals in general and how you people see it.

What is the thought behind sacrifices? Is it some sort of balancing out the energies? If you dont give anything in return, will something be taken from you? How to know what to sacrifice in a specific ritual? Would the lack of it make the request fail?

Excellent, will look into it. I came over an article on the internet about a magician evocating elementals to gain knowledge on different things, to help him learn. Generous creatures apparently..I loved the idea. And the goetic demons, supposedly teachers of subjects I like. Probably a pitiful waste to limit it to theoretical consumation in a sofa in front of the fire.

Yes, it is well within the laws of the universe...I agree to that there is nothing to be called supernatural as it is perfectly natural (AC). However, as earlier mentioned in here somewhere...we might think we are so free of the narrowing concepts put upon us by the society's religion..or by science, but we are not. Its so wonderful to see the concepts broken, it cant be described..but still very scary. Deep down there something is screaming its not suppose to be. Years of conditioning have made its impact. It seems to "want" to be kept out of mainstream too..if you know what I mean.

Elemental magick seem to be more common among the wiccans, I might be wrong, but they are the ones speaking of and using the natural elemental entities. I was never capable of the big interest in wiccan ways. Uncles...demons..maybe,will take a look at it. I am not exactly a skeptic....more like a rehabilitated skeptic. I am not considered totally sound.

Agreed. I dont have to mention my lack of the big experience,as it is quite obvious. However, speaking of results...have you used entities to do a job? I have done that, and I also like to think that I have done "jobs" myself with what I believe to be your definition of imagination. It felt quite different. Doing the job "yourself" is harder to be sure of....as statistically it could happen without doing anything at all, a long period of testing would be necessary. The entities (including elementals, from what I have read), move things around, can be felt and sometimes seen. Because it feels so different, I am not of the opinion of all of this being in or coming from your own mind. However, it can be an illusion. The chaos magicians are creating their own servants...so I have heard about elementals..you can create your own. I get problems blending the cards here...

I understand its hard to not do it...after all it was such a cheap and obvious blow to my honesty. Dont worry about other peoples minds..if you are bending over blindly to "Adepts", its your own choice. And yes, it sometimes ruffles my feathers when people are taking wide walks off the topic.Take care to answer peoples questions with minute detail? Yeah right. Last, but not least..yes, one could always be more accurate, I will take the advice.

modernPrimitive, I share your view on this, but do not underestimate the cozyness of sitting by the fire with a good book! As a person with more than a fair share of sagittarian energy, I love to gain knowledge and it makes me content and relaxed

This however, I am close to take as an insult. I did not say it was...but I say IF it does happen (because people say it does sometimes), it might give problems of keeping my pants dry. You see Mr Primitive, I am a skeptic who happened to have seen this happen before. Not by use of magick ,but by fiddling with the astral in childish ways. It was needed in order for me to change my view. Manifestation is important to blow the narrowminded sceptic's head. If you had told me many years ago how swinging your wand around while speaking fancy hebrew will help you "develop a wonderfully fulfilling intuitive relationship with life", you would have my narrowminded pity upon you for being a fruitcake:) Unless offcourse you did manifest weird things that pulled my hair and ran my errands! Today, my attitude is different. I am sure you get my points. Yes yes...I am willing to take the horrible risk of never knowing magick...most people will never know anyway,will they? However..I do play around with the idea that it would be wonderful having a teacher that would guide me when (if?) going practical. Right now, I feel more like I have to put all of my damn personal life out on a forum just to get some litterature tips...its out of proportions. After all, I didnt "order" people to put their personal input on the subject....most important was the litterature. I didnt ask for advice on whether to go practical either. So, where is your contribution to the actual subject?

Books are written all the time, for maybe most of the readers it will turn into *idle * knowledge will it not? But they will never get "Magick lesson no. 1" will they? Whaaat? No purpose yet? No book for you! I understand your purpose..all questions smelling of "idle" behaviour must be punished with blunt and self important answers so that I do not reinforce such a wrong and weak attitude!

When it comes to questions about litterature and sources...I never had the problem of such a question being too big and confusing. A first time for everything I guess. Anyway, thanks for your contribution Mr Eshelman.

Knowledge, Mr Eshelman. I am the kind sitting with my nose in books and not going practical. Its been long since I have seen the laws of physics being broken, and if it were to happen I'm afraid I am going to wet my pants and faint. Besides, I have heard that one should have a purpose before using it...and I wouldnt know what to use it for as everything is in perfect order

I am confused. What happened to the topic of this thread? As long as people do not share the same understanding of the words used, this discussion is a porridge going nowhere. The notions used today may not have the same meaning in the future or held as false. It is a natural ongoing development ,we all know.

Is this all a discussion on science versus religion/supernatural or what? Wherever I come across these discussions it seems to me the majority of people discussing hold science as their new religion, unconditionally. By that, saying "Come on medieval idiots, you cant be for real......science holds the ultimate truth and everything we know today is set" Its really one of the easiest ways to be ignorant. Refusing to learn from history.

So what is meant by "there is nothing that excist beyond what is material" ? Something that comes out of (apparently) nowhere and starts manipulating our material things, would you say that is something material itself or would you consider it supernatural and non excistent? Maybe it is the material manifestation of one of the involved people? Many options. When Crowley said that there is nothing supernatural, wasnt it just to illustrate that all we call supernatural is in fact perfectly natural? Questions are rethorical, as this is quite far away from the original topic.

I am talking about the concepts of Hadit, Babalon, Nuit and especially Therion which I have had trouble finding good information about.
