Second Operation Tarot
-
Does anybody else find the house system in the second operation of the tarot extremely tedious? IMHO, the house system seems flawed. Attributing money matters to the second house, which is ruled by Taurus, seem ludicrous to me. Money and business surely would be more suited in the first house, ruled by Aries.
Should I just skip the second operation and go straight to the third? What are everybody else's thoughts?

It's just a model. Sure, in astrology there are severe weaknesses and houses may not even exist; but Tarot is simply lifting a framework to talk about things, and one can use it without it being more complicated than that.
If it helps you... in the original framework in which a 12-house system was framed, Taurus was not equated to the 2nd house. Mars-ruled Scorpio was.
