    93,
Our landlord is trying to evict us and raise the rent. I am attempting to construct a ritual to aid us in finding a suitable place to live within our means.
I am going through my copy of 776 1/2 and working through Jim's Ritual Construction advice and thought someone out there might be able to give me some help.
The most appropriate deity I can find is Hestia, Goddess of the Hearth and Home. Looking her up in the tables it seems she is associated with key 26, the path of A'ayin. It also occurs to me that the letter Beth actually means "House".
If I were to do a ritual to create a talisman, would it be appropriate to use the correspondences of A'ayin (Eye, Capricorn, 70, The Devil Card, Indigo, Black, etc.) and possibly incorporate the letter Beth on the actual talisman? Should I include any other attributes of Mercury or am I just muddying the waters by too many attributions?
The way I understand it the ritual outline would be along the lines of:
    Banishing
    General Invocation
    A Proclamation stating intent
Specific Invocation to Hestia (Building her image by her familiar qualities, identifying with the Goddess while enflaming myself with the invocation)
Consecrating the object with the holy oil (drawing some symbol related to the path of A'ayin or Beth)
    Covering the talisman
    and finally Banishing again.
Am I on the right track? Any suggestions, other methods, additions, deletions, warnings, advice?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Getting my family somewhere suitable that we can afford is very important to me (and, I believe, my true will). Obviously we will be doing everything mundane possible to further our goal as well.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Wow! That's a pretty huge ordeal to be going through.

If I were you, I would rely more on the Beth/Magician path. I do not trust the Devil to find me a home, even if Hestia relates to that. The path of A'ayin, often expressed in the Tarot as being chained to materialism, seems like a difficult path to walk for stabilizing a particularly material ordeal. A'ayin also means "Eye", and I reminded that the Devil is in the details.

Beth, on the other hand, does mean "House" like you mentioned. Beth also relates to the Tarot card the Magician. I don't know about you, but if I were in this situation, I would much rather rely on the energy of the Magician, who orders reality and channels the Light, to find a home.

Since consecrating a talisman is the operation chosen, I would highly recommend glancing through Israel Regardie's How to Make and Use Talismans. It is a short book (about 65 pages) that you do not have to read meticulously to understand. He offers guidance on what should actually go on the talisman. There are PDFs available online for this manual as well.

I hope that all goes well and that you find a suitable place soon!

Love is the Law, love under will.

Thank you very much for your reply.
Your thoughts make a great deal of sense. I was bothered with the correspondences of A'ayin. The only thing that seemed to fit my situation was the attribution to Hestia. Beth does seem a better path.
Regardie's "How to Make and Use Talismans" was an excellent suggestion, I got a number of ideas from reviewing the book.
I'm thinking of adapting Liber Israfel for the Specific Invocation, (as Thoth is a form Mercury/Hermes) and work in Hadit in some way.
Hopefully I can pull this together into a comprehensive coherent whole and put some wind in our sails for the troubled waters ahead.
Thank you again for your help.

          @jfc418 Of course!

I hope to hear more about your working and/or your experience with this Magickal operation.

I realize this ordeal may take some time, and that your thoughts may be elsewhere while the material realm opens the way to you. Nonetheless, I hope that you and your family find strength, support and clarity.

          Best of luck!

Symbolically, I find A’ayin to be super useful in this world of illusion and cunning. That being said, “Saturn” is a straightforward planetary energy, dealing with Assiah. Everything about Ritual construction relies on getting Step 1, Purpose, correct.

@augur @jfc418 I can see how A'ayin can relate to this subject. I assumed that A'ayin may not be the ordeal or path ideal for something like finding a new home since that may introduce an extra level of complexity by trying to sort through illusion. That being said, I suppose a lot of listings for apartments these days have been created by AI and that could definitely be seen as an illusion. And of course, like you pointed out, Saturn could be the most obvious symbol of Assiah. Haha, straight forward as a description certainly hides people's usual responses to Saturn.

Both work depending on how creative someone wants to get, I suppose.

I second the last statement. The Targeting Steps will do more work for you than may seem apparent upon first reading.

Hello and welcome! I had good results constructing and performing a ritual for Demeter when looking for new housing (interpreting her as a goddess of harvest, bounty, gain, the earth as mother, seeking security, etc.). I suggest being very specific about what you require and the timeline (I said "by the end of the summer" and my move-in date was on the date of the Fall Equinox, so maybe I could have been more specific there so I wasn't panicking as much with deadlines).

Also, I used an invocation from the Book of the Goddess: https://sacred-texts.com/wmn/bog/index.htm
