    Greetings all, Jim.

I am experimenting with different types of Magickal circles.

In my bedroom, which is my Temple, when I do not have my body as my Temple when out in the woods, there is carpet, blue carpet.

I was thinking of painting a Magickal circle on a white, cotton sheet, in black. The sheet I have is pretty big, enough to make 4 different circles with maybe.

When in the woods, I usually make a circle with the handle or tip of my wand in the ground after moving leaves out to reveal the bare dirt.

My most important question is: What types of Magick circles has everyone used in ritual, such as the Lesser and Greater rituals of the Pentagram and Hexagram? There's the circle from the Goetia, then the one from Crowley's Magickal elemental theory.

I have used plain circles, and pentagrams earlier on, with reliable effect.

However, I was wondering if I should go by the Book 4 version with the 3 diamonds and the upside down Tau. I remember what kind it is from one of the Libers, but I can't put my mind directly on the name.

What kinds of Circles have you all used successfully in the past?

Thank you for your time, attention, and assistance if you have any to provide.

Other than for evocation, I've almost never set a hard circle in my magical life.

I personally have used round ones, with much success.

Some times when I am feeling especially creative, instead of just one nice big round one, I like to use lots of bubbles, all chained together in a pearlesque string of beads.

Painting on Fabric, especially sheets can be done, quite nice too, if one is resourceful, but can be messy, not all paint will work on all fabrics.

What color is your carpet, when you do have your body as your temple, does it change? 😀

I am just joking with you, ya know. I don't draw circles, I never have. I used to sprinkle salt, or use cord.

    Thanks a lot guys.

Veronica, you are a spry and mystic one. I can't tell when you are joking sometimes.

My friends and family have always said the same thing about me. I believe I am fire-heavy on a lot of levels, and makes people stare right at me, then immediately look to my reflection for some reason, which makes things trippy and confusing at times.

    Thanks Veronica, Jim.

I usually am tossing about a joke, pun,or other funny pretty much all the time.

When things strike me as funny, such as the mundane idea of experimenting with circles, I usually with have some smart Alec response just pop up.

My humor or sacrcaism is never intended as an insult, and never meant to be veiled.

Lady Veronica I must admit, days later, that it took me two reads of your post to get the pearlesque string joke.

I must say, you are a spry one indeed.

    But,
    You got it.
Most time my humor falls incredible short, or at least I think so because of the non responses I get...

Sometimes I wish I had my own personal smilie character, a girl with a drum, and when I say something I intend as a joke, it makes that familiar drum, joke noise...ba da bum...

    Sigh,
Gemini rising, Aquarian sun, Scorpio moon, makes me giggle at least.
