I'm looking to study a grimoire of old fashioned witches from around 1800, sometime before Gardner became involved.
If a witch didn't write it, but it still displays the content I think I'm looking for "spells" in the most literal sense, then let me know.Thanks

Then you're basically looking for folk-teachings. Witches (in the sense either of Gardner-forward or of fairy tales) didn't exist as such.

Aside from some famous doggerel by Shakespeare (again, we are back to fictional witches), I'm not sure that the thing you're looking for actually ever existed.

Andrew D. Chumbley claimed that his work was was a continuance of the traditional folk cunning-craft of East Anglia and Wessex, if that's an avenue you'd like to explore. Much of his work is personal apophenia and inspiration but I do believe it to carry genuine torch from the past inhabitants of his home. A pdf of his "Azoetia" is relatively easy to find. Also, look for "The Grimoire of the Golden Toad".
