I finally gathered the courage to join this forum, I've been a "silent observer" of it for a while because it's a great source of information and experiences, until I finally decided to start participating inspired by the thought that the best way to learn (besides practicing) is asking all the silly questions I can, the worst that can happen is getting a reference to research and learn right?
I'm not old on Thelema or anything been reading and practicing the basic stuff on and off for about two years, I've realized that one of the hardships of being a solitary practitioner is not having anyone to share the enthusiasm, so this place will serve that purpose for me.
I got to Thelema as we get to many meaningful things in our existence: at first we reject it. I was flooded by the perjudice of misinformation, circling it, first by Wicca, then by Chaos Magick and after a period of "nothing" I sat down and started researching and reading, I would say that Lon Milo Duquette's music was of great help for me.
Also being a Psychologist and with a deep interest on Analytical Psychology I found that several ideas from Thelema go hand in hand with Carl Jung's theories, so having that background helped me digest the contents of Crowley's writing.
Thank you for accepting me in this forum and the opportunity of sharing and learning.
