Franz Bardon

I was wondering if any one has studied or practiced Franz Bardons [December 1, 1909 – July 10, 1958] system of magic at all?
Books like "Initiation into Hermetics" or "The Practice of Magical Evocation"
Here it is his work on Amazon.
www.amazon.com/Initiation-into-Hermetics-Franz-Bardon/dp/1885928122/ref=pd_cp_b_1?pf_rd_p=413864201&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=1885928130&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0A4PRT6TQYCGBAY7409NI am thinking about ordering some of his books and hear only good things about his work and I would be interested to hear any ones else's take on his work with Hermetics.

I always encourage people to work through Initiation into Hermetics at least once. I found it to be useful, especially in connection with Enochian Elemental Magick.

Nice I cant wait to get his books, ive known about them for some time!

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law
Franz Bardon: wonderful practice; terrible theory. Totally worth buying and working with, but I think it's important to keep in mind that he's not of us.
Love is the law, love under will

Ill have to read his Theory in practice and see what you mean.
I like the idea of Bardon,as far as I know he was never really involved with any group and was a solo practitioner.
-
Aptly titled.
Theory is lacking, Bardon leaves most of it for you to figure out as you go along.
It is all about knowing who you are. -

that's not a book title; i mean his magickal theory is or the birds while his practices - at least in "initiation into hermetics" - are pretty good.

how do you mean "not of us"? He is prudish about drug use and he seems prudish in general. Also for some reason he totally omits any Chakras reference and i personally found that to be flawed. The emphasis is on cautious balance in mind, body and astral/moral as the student advances.

So far I read I like Bardon's theory. In Evocation he cleared up some things for me. I think he knows his work but who taught him?!

"how do you mean "not of us"? "
I believe luxinhominefactum means he was not Thelemite.
Liber AL vel Legis, II,19: "Is a God to live in a dog? No! but the highest are of us. They shall rejoice, our chosen: who sorroweth is not of us."

i don't think Franz wallowed in sorrow far from it. WHY is he not "of us"?
