So in the Mass it states that the magician stands before the altar with his breast bare.

Does this mean that he is wearing a robe which bares his breast? If so could some one point me to a pattern for making such?

Though you can, of course, create a robe that opens down the front, I've always thought that a robe gets entirely in the way for that ritual.

Thats what Ive been doing, going bare back. I was wondering though if there was a 'special' garment for this. I recently got to watch 'Chemical Wedding' and there was a scene that got me thinking about it.
