93, I am curious if anyone has ever tried creating a personalized Tree? Perhaps changing shape, paths, etc? I tried to do this a while back, to some degree of success. Those of you who have, what did you find, troubles, et al?

Sure, most people do this kind of experimentation one or many times. I've traced out several dozen different ways of sketching the Tree of Life.

Useful doodling; useful to clarify thought; useful to let an idea work itself out on its way to the Exit sign in my brain.

        Crowley on Frater Achad:

*One who ought to have known better tried to improve the Tree of Life by turning the Serpent of Wisdom upside down! Yet he could not even make his scheme symmetrical: his little remaining good sense revolted at the supreme atrocities. Yet he succeeded in reducing the whole Magical Alphabet to nonsense, and showing that he had never understood its real meaning...

With regard to Achad's communications: I can make no sense of any of them, and shall ignore the whole matter. Achad went completely insane in the strict medico-legal sense of the term in 1925, and he has been getting deeper in ever since.*

I think almost everyone does that after awhile.
Crowley, Achad, Grant, Bertiaux.. And that is just people writing books.

93, Thank you, to all ya'll. I've been tinkering with this Tree off and on for several years, more as an exercise on creativity and just something to do. The first thing I more than recognize is not replacing the Tree, nor improving. This was, nor is not, ever the intention. I find today's Tree quite beautiful. I have had fun with it, though, and I'd say it's rather symetrical, though the placement of the Paths only has meaning in certain places. It will likely peter out of my mind too. Just a curiosity.
