esoteric significance of fingers/hands

Kind of puts a new spin on things, doesn't it?

Do let us know if you experience any significant difference in your results with the ring; it sounds like a really good idea on the surface.

It's going to take a few months to be completed. I would have dug the rock out of the earth, mined the ore, and cast the ring myself, but apparently local ringsmiths are not too keen on sharing their expensive equipment with total strangers
So, as the more practical solution, I've hired a local artisan to craft the ring per my design and order. I intend to fully consecrate it before putting it on. We'll see what effects arise...

Left is lunar/feminine/receptive. Right is solar/masculine/projective.Thumb is Spirit, index Water, second Earth, ring Fire, little Air.
Little Mercury, ring Sun, second Saturn (of course!), index Jupiter."
Maybe now would be a good place to ask: does right/left-handedness affect this projective/receptive assignment? And if not, is there anything "esoteric" about being born left-handed vs. right?

No, it doesn't change this symbolism.
There is a secondary sense in which the left hand becomes one's "hand of power" or "hand of intention," but it doesn't rewire one's polarities.
BTW, I'm left-hadned.

So in terms of the pentagram and hexagrams, the right/projective side would be associated with the pentagram and the left/receptive side would be associated with the hexagram, am I correct? Or are they not really associated at all with sides?

I can't think why they would be associated with sides. Why are you regarding the Pentagram and Hexagram as, respectively, projective and receptive?

I don't know actually
It was just a shot in the dark.
I was debating about getting each one tattooed on me, one on each shoulder, and am fairly sure I like the idea except for the reservation that they might each be associated with a side, and I thought it might suck if I got it backwards or something
I've always been very into purely symbolic tattoos and thus thought the 5 and 6 might be a really cool idea, especially due to the visual asymmetry.

It would be really cool if, say, you had six fingers on one of your hands.

Haha, point taken.
