    I saw a photo of - I believe it was Lon Milo Duquette performing a ceremony and it looked just like the Catholic Mass at the point where the priest raises the Host at the Transubstantiation.

    The following is from a book some of you may have read but it was written by a highly clairvoyant boy who normally attended services at a protestant church (most likely Church of England, around 1900? maybe) where the service is very similar to the Catholic mass but apparently devoid of a certain inner energy. I wonder if the Vatican II 'reforms' pulled the plug on this energy as well because the RC Church went into headlong decline immediately thereafter.

    from The Boy Who Saw True;

    *"Bridget is a Roman Catholic and goes to mass on Sundays, and so I asked Mrs. P. if I could go with her just to see what it was like. And Mrs. P. said ... I could go just this once, ... Well, I was mighty surprised at what I saw, ... Things happen much more than in our church [Protestant], where nothing much happens at all. At one bit of the service a sort of huge church got built up, (I saw clairvoyantly) and then a lovely shining Being came down and filled the whole place like an angel, and I felt all peaceful and lovely like as if I was in heaven. I wish I could always go to mass instead of to our church ..." *

    I am curious about the various 'currents' that flow at these events.

    Do Thelemic ceremonies manifest these sorts of visions?

    Aside from my own perceptions, they've been spontaneously reported to me by various observers over the years.

    I have only participated in the Thelemic Mass once... and while I did not "see" anything per se, it was definitely a powerful experience.

    The most prominent aspect that I an put in words was the sense of timelessness. After its completion I could not rationally grasp when it occurred. I found my self asking : "Did it happen five minutes ago? Hours? Years? Centuries?"

    It has mainly to do with the perceptive qualities of the observer. Any being with tendencies to visions (a "natural seer") will be apt to see visions in a powerful and moving environment. My mother, (with a Moon in Cancer), would often report seeing "Jesus walking through the church surrounded by light" during the services. It is probable that the boy's normal church was just lame. 😀

    As for myself, I've experienced visions after both Thelemic and Hindi ceremonies. (Sober, I might add. 😀 )

    That is very interesting, and as long as I've been doing Liber XV as Priestess I have really seen a varied amount of things, mainly astral bodies, perceptions of movement, things of that nature. Generally in the Gnostic Mass I've noted these energies coming from the tomb and from the Stele of Revealing.

    There is an interesting analysis of the Gnostic Mass astrally that I ran across while studying Liber XV that you might find interesting here:

    After studying more about sex, entheogenic substances, shamanism, pagan history etc. it has become so completely obvious to me what a ceremony should be. Without the above elements, any of these ceremonies are just like running a circuit (like a lamp) with no electricity.

    The only exception, is that really earnest people will want something to happen, even if it's unconscious, and that in and of itself can create an experience; but just think if you added that power with the methods listed above, it would be dynamite!
