Is it acceptable to do the mid-day adoration at the actual Solar Noon rather than at 12:00 Noon?

No only acceptable... it's the intended time. Anything less is a fudge.

Thanks for the quick reply Jim. I've been wondering about this for some time and was actually planning on doing the Noon Adoration at 1:05 PM today. This info helps a lot. Thank you!

I calculated them from Solar Fire astrological software, though I have half a dozen ways of getting the info (including a sunrise / sunset program on my PlayBook tablet - noon and midnight are just the times halfway between).

I've been using www.sunrisesunset.com.

I have an app on my phone called Sundroid that I've set to give me an alarm a few minutes before sunrise, solar noon, and sunset. Unfortunately, it doesn't do midnight.
