    Nine of Wands
    STRENGTH

Meditation Pattern: Place Atu II, The Priestess, and Atu XIV, Art, side-by-side, with the 9 of Wands above them.

Traditional Description: Eight wands crossed four and four, as in the previous symbol; but with a ninth wand upright, which traverses the point of junction with the others. Flames leap from the juncture. Above and below are the symbols of Luna and Sagittarius.

Yesod of Fire: Strength, power, vitality, health (regaining health). The fires of the vital soul are strong, ardent, and creative. Equilibrium within the psyche, dynamic (ongoing) resolution of internal conflict. Great success, but with strife. Victory, preceded by apprehension and fear.

Luna/Sagittarius: Mobility, adaptability, stability through ongoing change. Tremendous and steady force that cannot be shaken. Herculean strength, yet sometimes applied with intelligence. Generous, questioning, and curious; fond of external appearances; intractable, obstinate.

Yesod/Luna + Luna: (Reinforces all Lunar traits.)

This is one of the most beautiful setups of the 40.

Meditation on this arrangement can teach you a very great deal about what the energies are (and how to use them) for psychological and physical healing. The key is to understand - and physically FEEL - the energies set in motion by the meditation process.

The first thing I notice in contrast to what has come before is a soothing effect.

But it doesn't end there. It doesn't calm all the way down. It's more like... into the quiet of potential, a very potent and specific recipe of fire is poured.

          Plugged in. Returning to stillness.

This arrangement unexpectedly illuminates. It has a strong stilling effect. The subsconscious become very receptive to the pure light of the Inner Sun. This causes psychological healing. It's like a "sweep, mop and rearrangement of the furniture" of the mind. And, if you look on the TOL at the paths of The Priestess and The Art cards, you'll see that the energy is just bee lining it from Kether through Tiphareth to Yesod. We're surfing the middle pillar.

Physically the body becomes relaxed. A sensation of swelling occurs and the experience is like being a human balloon but with light instead of air. And there's a lot of brain activity around the Sahasara chakra which kinda feels my brain is getting rewired.

I love the feeling of playfulness I get from the cards with Jupiter and Sagittarius. Everything feels like a game.

Based upon something we're trying in the current thread, here is a diagram of how the layout appears.
