I have a question upon the "imagine an upright pentagram" in the Star Ruby. Do we project this outward into the quarter or just enlarge it before us or retain in our forehead? I have been projecting it outward, but just making sure I have this part right.

Hurl it before you, and it expands as it flies - either to a specific location/distance, or to an infinite distance.
