Ayin

I would like, if you will, to hear some of you people's thoughts on the impressions received when considering the path between Hod and Tiphareth, Ayin. Is there a particular trance or vision associated with it? Yes, I could go look it up in 777 or some such book, but the best part of this forum is the insight of the posters. So... yep.

Since you're too lazy to do even the most basic of homework before polluting the forum with abusive inquiries that force other people to do YOUR homework for you, here is a starter kit:

OUCH! Jim, where did this hostility come from? I posted what I did in good nature. I really just wanted to know what posters on this site had to say about the path of Ayin. If I struck some visceral cord of yours, then I apologize. Eh, Mr. Eshelman?

Yeah, it does piss me off when people ask things they could easily look up, or when they post "What do you think of this?" questions without offering their own views first. The laziness and vampirism in the latter behavior characterizes most that is wrong in occultism.

I never intended for that to be the outcome of this thread. I definitely meant that I like when the members of this forum give their own insight on a topic. Why the fuck would I make such a topic when I could just as easily look in the available libers for it? Jim, I was starting to respect you. But now I have to question: what sort of racket do you have running here? "Since I am Infinite Space, and the Infinite Stars thereof, do ye also thus. Bind nothing! Let there be no difference made among you between any one thing & any other thing; for thereby there cometh hurt."

The "racket" is a school. It's a casual school, but this forum is explicitly an "off-campus" classroom of College of Thelema. It's certainly within my perview to smack the fingers of lazy students now and then.
Notice I didn't (for example) mark your account with a warning or otherwise do anything affecting your standing here. I was criticizing behavior. May I suggest (as a useful form) that you start by stating your own views on the matter, and then ask others for additional input?

Jim, I am at a lack as to what to say. OK, you call me a lazy student. That is fine, although I was just being sarcastic. I thought that you would get that. I guess not.
You didn't mark my account for warning, I don't see a single reason to mark my account for "warning". This is ridiculous Jim. I was just jokingly asking as to whether or not anyone had anyone to say about Ayin. I guess that my wording is not well enough for Mr. Jim Eshelman. Wow! I can't believe that this thread stirred this much drink.... Sad, sad....

I'm sorry I missed the sacrasm.
Looking back and rereading, I see no reason not to take your post entirely seriously. I accept your explanation that you were being sarcastic.
You are correct that your wording is "not well enough" (sic - I believe you mean "not good enough"). Teacher's red ink liberally applied and paper returned for corrections.

I liked you Jim. You are best suited to encourage people that you are best suited to encourage.

Now you have me wondering who's been drinking too much.
OK, I don't lower the boom often, but you've pushed the walls here often enough. Presume you're in grade school and you are speaking to the principal in open class. Drop it and move on, or we'll take this to the principal's office.
The variety of post you first made is unacceptable. It gave me the opportunity to remind everyone in public that such things are unacceptable and to give you the chance to correct the post and your behavior. Please do.

I know, you see yourself as the boss of everyone on this site. I really, really did respect you Jim.

I hardly post on your site at all. You paint me as some iconoclast of the site, but I hardly post here. And when I do, I'm just posting as a person looking for answers. Jim, I can't believe you are acting like this. But OK.

1st warning.
(PS - Not boss of everyone on this site. But responsible for this site, the whole of its content, its representation of Thelema to the world, and a sense of decorum and respect appropriate for a school. Put your ego in a can, swallow your pride, admit you're being an inappropriate prick, and drop this - or move on.)

I, for one, very much appreciate the good forum hygiene here.
But let's see if we can resuscitate this thread's original intent.
What gives rise to your inquiry about Ayin, seekinghga? Now that you've reviewed the basics, as I'm sure you have, what insights have you gained, and what gaps remain in your understanding?
