Abremelin said..... In another place Abraham says, that once only in your life you may ask your Guardian Angel for a large sum of money sufficient to represent a fortune; and that he himself had done so and obtained his request.

Has anyone done this? If so how is it accomplished??

I was not reccomending that the HGA or the universe is there to make us rich, but it could make us that way, and I can understand the neccessity part of the ritual, but as far as working for it, who made that a rule?? I'm not saying it shouldn't be, i'm just wondering and at the sametime disbelieving that it has to be worked for......

Did you know that you can catch a bird by sprinkling salt on its tailfeathers?

When I was a little girl my grandma told me and my brother that.
We promtly took the salt shaker out into the yard to test it out. He didnt have the apptitude to endure, but I got myself a bird.

One day I had my little ones downtown in the park. The pidgeons were everywhere. My son wanted one in the worst way, and I recalled what my gramma had said. I told them the adage, and I could see the wheels turning. He took his sandwhich, laid down for about half an hour on the ground with his sandwhich, and sure enough got his bird.

I have heard this adage about the HGA and the fortune myself, in a different form.
In the form I had heard, you can ask for the fortune as many times as you would like ( actually the story didnt say you could only ask once, it said it could only be granted once).

The issue that comes to mind though is that until a person completely is in acceptance that the universe is an abundant, friendly environment ( as compared to the view of a limited, unfriendly place) and that acceptance is demonstrated by that persons accordanceto that view (being in alignment, or resonating at that frequency ) any store of energy (ie fortune). Is quickly consumed and not replenishable.

Fact: poor people who win the lottery, do not on the whole use the wealth to permanetly change their economics.

The message seems to be, that once you have permantely shifted your world view from one of lack to one of prosperity, Abundance will come and stay. So you would only need to ask once, once you got to that point.

It would also seem though, that once a human being got to that point of acceptance and abundances, prosperity and general friendlyness of the "universe", that person would not have any desrire, or will, or need to ask.

It is not so much a fortune as enough money to do the Work and nothing else.
One should not expect a life of luxury, material objects.

              Indeed.
I merely wishes to note that you will gain wealth, fortune
Not necessarily a large sum of monies.

You may lust for a Bently,
When a generic sedan does as much,
You might even ride the bus!

The mage was specifically adressing money...
What else.is.there to be wealthy with or have a fortune of that would be of great monetary value other than money.

'the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous.' The bible.

If we are the righteous then the wealth or.money of others is mine already, not in a trickle down, got to work for it way either
If I commune with god and the saints then from a kabbalistic standpoint I am righteous, one of the ones who inherit the wealth of the wicked....
                Gotta put it together....

If this is so, then I suppose there is no need to ask your Angel for anything, now is there ? 😄

this discussion brought to mind this concept ->
                    http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/6149/aleprechaunandpotofgold.jpg

the Leprechaun as the Dwarf - symbol of the Hidden Self
the pot contains the Gold - that is the Sun inside the Earth
and the Rainbow - well, the Artist will find out for her/himself what that can be 😀

@Barrackubus: take care of the Rainbow, the Gold will take care of itself 😉

Not true exactly, we would never want to be without him. We will always have need to.commune with our higher self and always have moments of needing to.invoke him and continue our growth....this although seemingly apparent isn't complete I will.always need and want my angel.....can't see without him.....

Middleman, I suppose your question is directed to me ?

I don't think there could (and should) be one answer - the universal 'what' of the mystical symbolism of the Rainbow - everyone must find that for her/himself.
With the picture above, I was mostly referring to the ATU XIV of Thoth tarot - the way that picture represents the Path of Samekh, which is the "Path of the Arrow", representing the Union of Sun and Moon.

                            93,

                            1. Consider that 'money' or 'wealth' or 'gold' are all symbols of internal or spiritual illumination.
                            2. Consider your motives for this... Attaining K&C is not about fulfilling your wishes & desires. In fact, attaining one's True Will is exactly NOT that: it is finding the True Motion beyond all your passing whims including material wealth. The best magick for wealth is to clean up, dress up, and find a good job.
