After reading a few articles and books on active imagination a question has been growing inside my mind:

How different is the practice of active imagination, as taught by Jung, from Astral Travel with the Body of Light?

Both seems to use imagination as a door between conscience and subconscious but the necessary skills and the final results sounds different.

The idea that a highly charged symbol can be a “door” between the personal and collective subconscious is giving-me a lot to think. It seems to reveal something about the very structure of the mind. Maybe it can clarify others cases of “ astral communication” like telepathy, obsession and evocation.

Just for to sake of curiosity, I am finding some curious phenomenon involving active imagination and magick. Looking back at my diary I saw that very much of what I was getting, although highly personal, had striking connections with my magical practices at the moment

I was not aware that my subconscious was actually resonating with the forces I was calling. It answers a lot of questions once you see the “magick mirror” at work.

Thank you guys and thank you Jim.

Don't dreams happen in the imagination?

As far as I know yes. The difference seems that it is felt mostly as imagination driven by an "alien force".

So, just as a matter in interest, where did you get the 'Alien force' wording from?

So what would you do if you wanted to increase the strength of the muscle(if i may use that term) that receives the subconscious.(if i may use that term).

How would you become more sensitive to those subtle energies that are the very forces magick wishes to manifest?

Just wishing to throw a question at you/

You should certainly feel free to restate things in your own words, and to quote an occassional sentence or two.

O thanks, I will do that!

There are some points that I find very interesting and practical.

It seems that the two channels we naturally have with the subconscious are dreams and projections. Meditation and Magick would be the artificial channels we build to enhance the communication. It answers the question about strengthening the communication with the “alien dream maker”.

"The conscious mind doesn't have to know what a symbol means, for subconsciousness to read it directly, with full understanding."

This has changed the whole way that I look at symbols. Not as puzzles or codes hiding something but as sources of meaning themselves. I would even say that they are the forms of psychological forces.

Are there published instructions of how to explore this “telepathic world wide web” aspect of the subconscious or is these the kind of information that is classified?

Yep, with some interesting results. Good ones usually emerge only when I get that inner motion, that felling that “there is someone behind the door”.

" Cool. You mean an entity connection?"

Would not call an entity connection... unless entity connections feel the same. Is more like that strange sensation you get when wake up from a dream and almost can remember it, like something moving deep inside your mind (somehow stronger). The best signal that you moved the “astral light” is that it moves you.

In that moment, the vision almost rushes in the imagination once you sit and let it come.

"what is your procedure? LRBP then Supreme Ritual Of Element of path you are entering then physical Sign Of Enterer? Sign of silence?"

Usually I do not use procedures of magical systems that I am not initiated (GD or AA). But the basics are the same. Preparation, meditation, banishing and full invocation (for me, pentagrams alone are not enough to charge the vision).
Scrying and even active imagination are not things I do in a rush, five minutes before dinner. Unless I feel charged with the ritual, I do not even bother to try because I will only get “brain noise”.
