Thanks, Thom. The book is at the printing planet and being manufactured. The original "mid-August" is more like late August. (We pulled it back a couple of weeks to upgrade some illustrations.) I'm hoping to have a drop-shipped copy in my hand before I head back East late month (where my lady is on tour in a play). Whether they get mailed out third-to-fourth week of August or about as week later depends on whether the semi truck (driving slowly 2,200 miles across country) gets here before I leave town for a few days. (I want to sign all the early copies.)
If I can find some time to update the ordering system, I'll have the pre-order link ready soon. The page is already in place awaiting the link at www.thelema.org/publication
Again, thanks for the inquiry.

You can now pre-order Pearls of Wisdom here: helema.org/publications/pw.html
The book is expected during August. All pre-orders by the time it arrives will be autographed and shipped first.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks.

Based in Ireland here, any idea of when it will be available for preorder with the shipping + handling charge?

I will probably have that working today or tomorrow (figuring out which of a couple of ways to program that), but I can tell you what it is. We pay part of the international shipping (the same amount we'd pay for domestic shipping) and then bill the balance of that. For international priority mail to your part of the world, add US$17.95.

I guess it will be the same (or almost the same) for my part of the world?

That same price has been separately confirmed for Hungary, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Paraguay, and New Zealand. So, I think, outside of U.S. / U.K. / Canada, it's probably universal.

The ordering page now has choices that include international shipping:

93,
When you select UK pearls it is 47.95, is this including shipping?
When I go into paypal and select my country the price adds another 34.10 dollars for shipping and totals at 82.05.
93, 93/93.

Thanks. You're only supposed to get charged the first time. I'll see where that legacy charge is. If U accidentally paid it, we'll refund it, of course.

I see the problem. From the order page, the separate section on shipping charges is still present. I have to figure out how to make that disappear. I advise anyone using this (until I get it fixed) simply not to use the additional shipping calculator - shipping is built into the price already. (I'll have to dig through the code and find where those amounts are being cached. I won't due it tonight, probably, because my spouse is back in town for about 35 hours before hitting the road again, so I'm going to ignore the rest of you ).

Mark, this was easier to fix than I thought. I'm sorry for the original error. If you haven't placed you order, you can do so now and it will only charge you for the shipping once. If you HAVE placed it, please write the email address of the confirmation email you got, and ask for a correction.

Thanks, I didn't place the order anyway. I'm going to place another order now.

Thanks, guys. I have high expectations you'll love it. (I could always be wrong, of course ) And I appreciate the interest and support.
I keep coming back to the line with which I began thinking about the book: I love anthologies! As a reader, I love collations of short, topical pieces that stand on their own while having something to tie them together. These, for me, often are the most fun nonfiction books, the easiest to access - committing time and attention just to a chapter (for the moment) - I've gotten a lot of information and pleasure from this sort of thing over my life, so I'm happy to have produced one.
-
For Ireland, shall I add the UK shipping price or the OTHER price?
-
-
Ordered this a few days ago, was I early enough to still get the autograph?
Look forward to it Jim, I expect nothing but the best.
-
And I agree about anthologies. B.O.T.A.'s "The Lantern" are proving to be a favorite for me lately. Mostly because you can fit them into bathroom reading, a break at work, etc~
Who would of thought light reading could be so enlightening?
