I may have commited a terrible mistake! I showed someone one of the sigills for about half a second out of the pages of the Legemeton and told her jokingly that she would by now be possessed by a demon. I then told her that nothing would actually affect her by that sight alone. I didn't think there was any risk at all to that little thing, but just now I read a chapter in Duquette's "My Life With the Spirits" and it seemed the scent and sight of the sigil he had made affected a person for life with the evoced demon charged by that medallion and ruined his life.
Please, someone, help me sort out what effects could have come of my action and anything that could prevent the effects from it. I talked to her today, about two weeks after, and explained that I had recently read about possible risks with it and see if she had experienced anything unusual, but she told me nothing out of the ordinary except perhaps that she had been a little happier, but nothing that definitely indicated what I would imagine a Goetic demon's effects to be like. I don't remember what spirit it was either. And she also knows very little about magick, if that is of assistance.
    Is the situation critical? 😕

Not critical. Especially with no symptoms, don't worry about it. Drop it.

Fear of the matter is more likely to cause problem (and open a possible avenue of obsession) - so you don't want to do anything to accelerate fear.
