Cakes of Light and Liber AL beetles

Good luck with the cakes. As for the Abramelin oil, I would simply buy it from a reputable dealer. You can find several on the net - just question them about the ingredients. I know at least one sells a couple of types since Crowley's recipe was slightly different from others.
Blood: simply use a drop of your own blood, the smallest amount is needed. Out of respect, don't give these to someone who is not aware of the blood, and give them the option of using their own.
As for recipes, other than what is in Liber L, there are several on the net. Look under thelemapedia. I'm not sure if the ones I have are Order sensitive or not so can't post them.

No, I haven't sorry, but don't worry about them for now. They are not part of the standard cake of light but instead refer to something else that the cakes can be used for. As for the "eucharistic" cake of light used in Thelema, don't worry about the little beetle guys now.
There are others with far more knowledge, so hopefully they will chime in.

usually the beetles can be found under rocks in the ground, but some pet stores possible could sell these, for like spider food! and also small snakes.
but i dont think the beetles would make tasty cakes at all in my opinion, so i have never made cakes with them in it.
i agree buy the oil from someone who knows what there doing, but a word of warning on that. like almost 10years ago i bought abramelin oil from one of these companies that sells all sorts of pagan oils. it smelt very purfumey and i used it for awhile, until one day i showed another thelemite it, and they said "no way this is abramelin oil, there isnt even cinnimon in it."
so i would recommend to order it from some one in the current, i personally ordered mine from a OTO lodge on the west coast.

Has anyone had any experience with SomaLuna Abramelin oil??? www.somaluna.com/prod/abramelin_oil.a
Well, it says "Crowley recipe".I'm asking and not just trying it out, because I will need to buy a considerable quantity to save money from the shipment to Greece - if you buy 1 dram or 45 ounces, the shipping fee is the same, and a considerably high one.

I purchased mine from them and it seems good. Just the right amount of "burn." They seem to know what they're talking about. Of course I have to take their word for the ingredients but I don't have any reason to believe the formula is incorrect or inferior. They are also the only place I found that has more than one formula offered.

93 YHVH,
My oil is from SomaLuna as well and I woud ditto DavidH's comments. Have to take their word for it, but seems good... have also bought some oil from an OTO member in Portland, but that would be hard to access from Athens. My father's family is from the Pellopenesus and Crete; greetings to you in Athens! Last time I was in Greece was in 1972 as a child; still remember walking through the Parthenon. Understand that's not possible anymore... Is there a Thelemic community in Athens these days? I saw a news article recently in which Greek pagans took over the Acropolis for the first official worship of the old Greek gods in some time... did you have the opportunity to attend?

"Understand that's not possible anymore... "
Well, it's 100% possible!
"Is there a Thelemic community in Athens these days? "
I HAVE NOT MET 1 THELEMITE... Serious thelemites would be doomed to solitarity here in Athens. Christian reflexes are too strong here to allow any Crowley people (oh-my-god-the-founder-of-satanism... Actually, I have heard that:"Did you know that Jimmy page bought the house of the FOUNDER OF SATANISM???" Woe is me, the thelemite in Greece) to emerge. Beyond that, if any group was to emerge, most probably it would be satanism or anarchy in the name of our poor prophet...

I am not interested in old greek pagan gods worship at all. After all, I'm a thelemite .
