the Moon under her feet

I've thought to start a thread here on Mother Goose's hidden qabalah correlations because images from a dream I had once and the phrase "with the Moon under her feet" I always hear in my head "hey did diddle, the cat and the fiddle (?).. THE COW JUMPS OVER THE MOON" as the cow represents the Goddess often represented as Hathor, the Sacred Chao, the cresent Moon, and the headdress of Isis. All this seems to be the path of Gimel, the High Priestess, which I feel is Work of mine because, well, somebody's got to do it might as well be me...
Thoughts please.

This poem is obviously a dithyrambic paeon to the Goddess in Her various forms. To wit: "hey diddle diddle" is Heh = The Star = Nuit, followed by Daleth Daleth Lamed Daleth Daleth Lamed, that is, Venus Venus Libra Venus Venus Libra. The cat is sacred to the moon (9 lives = Yesod = Moon) as any reader of Lovecraft knows. As for the secret significance of the fiddle -- well, that is an Exalted Arcanum that I may not reveal to the uninitiated.

"Fire on the Mountain Run boys, run
The devil's in the House of the Rising Sun
Chicken in a bread pan picken' out dough
Granny does your dog bite No child, no."
-Charlie DanielsUh, sorry, another instant association that has fond memories for me much like children's poetry... Thanks for confirming my intuitive yet uninitiated suspicions were correct in that there is more than coincidental symbolism going on there and I can see how to navigate better now that I'm starting to learn how to read the signs instead of just rely on my senses.. I don't think Yesod is the moon being referred to here but Qoph and the tarot card XVIII perhaps. It is exhaulted by the Sun (Resh) as it's the backside of the head, or perhaps backside of the tree... I dunno, just a theory based on what's been showed to me on the paths I've actually walked naturally. Intriguing definately!

We all start with our intuition and 'sense' of this all, some don't pick up on it as easily as you though. You don't necessarily need to be initiated into an Order to work out the patterns (though it helps) you just need to learn (if you have not already) cabalistic doctrine/symbolism and go digging. Most ancient children’s songs/stories and many games are vessels of the sacred wisdom, perhaps the most famous of these games being the Tarot, which is a compendium of the hermetic/qabalistic doctrine. Personally I love the idea of thousands of children singing and playing out the wisdom of the ages with the innocent beauty that only children posses!
