Mystical and Magickal System of the A.'.A.'.

"So basically this book is the A.'.A.'. version of Israel Regardies's The Golden Dawn? I seriously hope it's not nearly as expensive when it's released. I've always found it confusing that in order to spiritually develop, you have to be financially successful first."
That's a curious concept - what makes you believe that you need to be financially successful in order to spiritually develop? What does it mean to you to spiritually develop?

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law
can i just chime in here and say that book is great?!?
i didn't make the connection between Jim the Author and Jim The Poster Nutbag until about a week ago, because i'm a big dork, but what a great legacy!

That $380 copy is apparently a bargain. Did anybody see this intriguing note about its condition?
"Like new. Has white out in one of the Oath pages. Nothing is erased."
Almost worth buying just to see which clause the original owner wanted to get rid of....

and the value will actually go up drastically after the second edition is released because it's becomes a collectors item instantly being the original print!
My partner and I are laughing that we've doodled in and highlighted parts of ours, not that we intend to sell it but it seems blasphemous now yet perfectly acceptable if not to be expected when it was only $37...

I cant find it on amazon."
It's currently out of print. I'm responsible for some errata before we take it back into print. There might be a couple of copies left in our Grand Imperator's possession and I could forward him your email address if you like.
While I'm very proud of how the hard cover was manufactured, and generally recommend, I do have a (very) few copies of the Version 3 softcover. If you're just interested in the content, you might want that."
Jim - would you please forward him my email address?
Thanks!

I will.
I've also edited your post to remove the address. Don't ever ever ever post your email address where it is visible on a forum or web page - that step (or equivalent harvestable public disclosure) accounts for something like 90% of all spam.

Thanks Jim! As for email harvesting, I put that address on there intentionally as a test of my new hush.com account which supposedly uses strong filtering and encryption, but I appreciate you removing it as a best practice. I actually worked at one of the major stories in corporate email filtering (Postini) for over 2 years, as well as one of the "grey hat" "email deliverability providers" (Skylist/now Datran) so I'm pretty familiar with both sides of email offense/defense.

OK - feel free to put it back You can edit your post.

93! All,
Jim, could you keep us all posted on possible release dates for the next printing? I am sure that many on here, myself included, would love to own a copy without breaking our bank accounts.

Do people actually pony up to buy books that expensive? It's crazy I say, crazy! Personally I would not do it. I'd wait for new copies to be printed again and hope they come out before I die.
-
Any chance of it possibly being released in electronic format?

No. And, personally, I can't think of why one would want a file when one could have a book. Considerable care was taken to manufacture this in the most durable, beautiful way possible, including acid free papers and boards that should last more than a human lifetime.
-
"Considerable care was taken to manufacture this in the most durable, beautiful way possible"
This is true, it is one of the most beautiful books in my book shelf.
And it was not that expensive either. I orded it when I saw it on line. But as I live in sweden I had to pay tax for it and if that was not enough I also had to pay a fee for payng the tax. That's sweden for you -
I am not arguing that I am just as much a book whore as most of you But besides mortaging my house for a book. and I am sure its well worth it I just cannot justify the amount that it is doing the rounds at currently. I seriously hope another publishing run happens soon heres hopeing

Oh, hell no. I don't encourage people to spend that kind of money either! (There's a certain emotional gratification at how highly it is valued but, from the point of view of wanting to put it in people's hands at a fair price, I don't think people generally should be paying that price. - Collectors, of course, always will do things like that.)

Yeah, I got my copy from a half price book store in houston I think. The price was justifiable
